What are you looking at…
can’t you just turn around
and get off my back…
Granny can you help me…
please…
that parrot is looking at me…
while I try to give myself
a popurr wash…
and I don’t like
to be watched nor touched…
by someone who’s all over me…
…how about you Peachy…
…who me…?
…well…
actually I don’t care…
…I stare right back at them…
..MOL…
but it’s good that you notice
your limitations…
so you can do something about them…
like take a nap
or two…
that’s true…
and while the parrot
has turned his face to the other side…
…Thank Cat…
I can concentrate on what we’re
T H A N K F U L
for
this week…
besides the almost a week of beautiful
Spring weather…
this very clear feather sign
of a Butterfly
that unfortunately didn’t survive
when Granny tried to safe him
from Peachy…
Granny saw that he flapped his wings
when she put him in the flowers
and when she came back to check on him
she saw that he was gone…
but she had no good feelings about it
and asked for a sign…
if he was doing allright…
and later that day
this feather flew towards her
and she knew for sure…

“You know you can’t fool me
and you cannot lie
it’s obvious
that there’s a little devil inside
it’s also something you can’t hide
even if you try to deny
we all have something dark inside
doesn’t matter how big or small
and if we can’t control it at all
sometimes it just shows
when it comes and when it goes
and that can be here or it can be there
so you always have to be aware
because one thing is true
this little devil
lives in all of you
and me
see.”

Beware of parrots! Especially ones who have their beaks pointed at your rear end! LOL Your poem is adorable. That little guy looks like he has a bit of the devil in him – that grin and the look on his whole face (along with the horns!) gives it away. Love the poem – it made us smile and I think we will keep smiling ALL DAY LONG thanks to you!
