Little Binky Loves Granny

There is an interesting story behind Binky and Granny from the blog Angels Whisper. We know you will enjoy reading it.

Funny Farmer Felines: Please introduce yourself and your human.

Binky: I’m Little Binky and that’s my Granny *points paw at Granny* I was born somewhere in Autumn of 2002. I’m a cow kitty and I live since late Summer 2008 with my Granny and Grandpaw. I weigh…do you want to know my weight, Funny Farmers? I know since…. recently. Oh, no, you don’t want to know; well, I’ll keep that to myself then.

Funny Farmer Felines: If you have any furry siblings, please introduce them too.

Binky: I have four siblings and one adopted sister, but they are all living at my mother’s place. My eldest brother, who is younger than me, is Bobo, than comes my sister Sphinx, next is brother Pumba and his twin Feline, unfortunately she crossed the Rainbow Bridge last year of FeLV and that was very sad. *wipes tear* Let’s see, and then there is my adopted sister The Nanny.

Funny Farmer Felines: How did you come to live together?

Binky: I was found on an industrial area when I was about three month old and lived almost 5 years with my mother, dad and two-feet-sibling, who is the same age as me, until my mom and dad separated. The three of us were living in a garden house for a while and went over to live at a colleague of my mom for a few weeks, but he had two monster cats that didn’t like me. They chased me every day and then my mom put me in her bedroom with the door locked so they couldn’t hunt me any more, but one day my mom forgot to lock the door when she went to work.

I will spare you the details, Funny Farmers, but I had to run for my life the whole day. It was the most scariest thing that I have ever experienced in my entire life. When Granny heard what has happened, she took me, my mom and two-feet-sibling into her house and we lived there for almost two years. I only had to deal with Granny’s Angel, HER cat *rolls eyes* and the neighbour’s cat, Big Binky, who thought he was living there too. We didn’t become furriends, but we were able to live together.

When Angel went to furryland and my mom and two-feet-sibling got a house of their own, my little two-feet-brother said it was all right with him if I stayed with Granny. Granny said that it was better for me. I’ve had enough stress; it was time for tranquillity. Believe me kitties, I have been having the time of my life ever since. *shakes head* No, I’m not spoiled at all.

Funny Farmer Felines: Tell us a little about the area where you live.

Binky: We live in the most beautiful part of the Netherlands, to be specific in the South of Limburg, near the border triangle of The Netherlands-Germany-Belgium. It’s well known for the Pinkpop festivals. I haven’t seen a bird since we moved here, except that one that was teasing me. I can hear the birdies outside of the garden, many of them, but since we live here, I am not allowed to go out of the garden anymore. That’s because there are living foxes and hawks and all other kinds of predators in the neighbourhood. I can stand up for myself very easily and Grandpaw says so too, but Granny says no, and when Granny says no… Well, you know *lifts shoulders* you don’t have a chance, right? Anyway, I watch Bird TV on my tablet, so I can still recognize them – just in case.

Funny Farmer Felines: Do you have any nicknames?

Binky: OMC, I live on nicknames. Granny calls me…let me translate it first… Puppet, Binkster, Little girl, Dolly, Little Princess, Queen, Possum, Little Bear, Wooly, since a little while Goatey, little lamb, spork, sleeping beauty and so many more.

Funny Farmer Felines: What kind of mischief do you like to get into?

Binky: When I am in the garden I like to walk inside and outside the house freely, but when it is cold Granny closes the door, so I ask constantly if she wants to open the door for me, and when she does, and she does, I ignore her, or run away. Nanananana!

Funny Farmer Felines: What made you open a blog? And do you participate in any blogging events?

Binky: Actually Granny started our blog in 2011 in Dutch in honour of her cat Angel, that’s why my blog address is called Angel’s Whisper and not Binky’s Whisper. Granny says every picture has a story to tell and we wanted to share that in the first place with my two-feet siblings and family, but then other furries and peeps started to read our blog. We continued the blog in English and I made furriends along the way, so now they became a part of our lives that we don’t wanna miss anymore.

I try to participate regularly on four amazing blog hops, namely – Caturday Art of Athena and Marie, Sunday Selfie with The Cat on my head gang, sometimes I Create-with-joy on Wordless Wednesday, and when Granny isn’t to busy I’m being Thankful on Thursday over at Brian’s blog. Once in a while I like to get my tummy rub on Tuesdays over at Katzenworld’s.

Funny Farmer Felines: Do you belong to the Cat Scouts?

Binky: I’m not a Cat Scout. With all that hopping around, I haven’t had time to sign up for it, but I know a few furriends who are scouts.

Funny Farmer Felines: Are you on any social media you would like to share with readers?

Binky: You can find my WordPress blog at angelswhisper2011 and I am on Instagram as Little Binky. Oh, and recently I have my own Facebook account as Binky Ky. I am very mobile as you can see, but it is very hard to keep up on all of them.

Funny Farmer Felines: What is your greatest love and your biggest fear?

Binky: Granny is my greatest love. Oh, I think I misunderstood the question. I love being outside in the garden and guard my own grown nip. My biggest fear is that someone steals my nip, or worse, makes it his own.

Funny Farmer Felines: Does your human foster any furbabies, work or volunteer for a shelter, make pet-related products …?

Binky: Granny is a spiritual animal healer and she was a volunteer catsitter before we moved. Now she feels kind of retired for as long as we are busy with the settling down.

Funny Farmer Felines: How would you describe yourself?

Binky: I am definitely an introvert and a loner. I don’t like strange people around, nor do I tolerate strange kitties around me, or two-feet siblings. I can be bitchy tempered and when I want something, Granny says I can be a despot sometimes. Oh, and I have mood swings, I learned all that from Granny by the way, but mostly I am a very sweet, gentle and adorable pussycat – and not only when I sleep.

Funny Farmer Felines: If we were to ask your mom what she loves best about you, what do you think she would say?

Binky: Everything about me, for sure!

I think this is it, Funny Farmers. Thank you for inviting me for the interview. Wait, I give you all an Extra Pawkiss for that🐾😽💗

Funny Farmer Felines: Thank you, Binky. We believe everyone will enjoy your story and hope readers will take a moment to tell you how much they enjoyed getting to know you better, and then they can stop by Angels Whisper to get to know you even better.

✨✨✨

I hope you liked to read my interview (again)…

I sure did…

even if you can’t see me

that doesn’t mean that I’m not here🧙‍♀️✨

Pawkisses from Heaven to all of you

Almost three weeks without you

My dearest Little Binky💗

Where do I start your post

when you’re not here with me…

my greatest muse

and biggest fantasy…

now leaving only memories…

since you were gone

it’s hard to move on…

never to see your lovely face again…

or to have you sitting next to me…

watching movies of a friend…

or just looking up to me

if that’s all

you wanted to see…

lying on Grandpaw’s lap…

or in between…

so close to me

never more will seen…

nor your walks

towards me…

when you hid yourself

for our twofeet family…

in your own house

right next to me…

you were so very smart…

after doing yoga with me

you read your own cards…

and your mousies

in and outside the housie…

had no chance

when you did your sword dance…

and when I’m in the garden now

you’re everywhere I see

but then I look at Angel’s Place

and know that it can’t be

cause you’re not longer here with me…

sometimes when I look at the door…

I wished you stepped right through it

like you always did before…

giving me some headbonks

on the kitchen floor

that I so adored…

before you ate your beefie

as your daily score…

now I only have last pictures

and your last food in store

and your memories to hold on

cause no one comes through that door

anymore…

you left a big hole inside my heart

and sometimes it hurts so much

that I almost collaps…

it’s lonely

and empty in the house…

and it took me some time

to take a seat

on the chair

knowing that you’re not there…

and when I see that empty basket

and how much you loved your weeds

my heart breaks in pieces…

because there’s a second crob waiting

but there’s no one to eat…

even mousie misses you

he brought you Angel Wings’ flowers

and made a heart for you

saying

💗I loved you too💗

✨💞✨

It has been almost three weeks ago now

Thursday evening 21:44

when I wrapped you in your clouded blanket

and laid you next to me

on the bedroom floor…

together with your favourite mousie…

one last night close by your side

like it was yesterday once more…

Angel’s Place

has gained

a new Angel

and your family and friends

have all welcomed you home

so you weren’t so alone…

Thank you

for

making me

smile

when I felt so sad for a while

because the future didn’t felt so bright

after losing your sight…

but you always showed me

that you handled it

with dignity…

Thank You

for bringing me happiness

and sunshine

when it rained inside

that old heart of mine…

Thank you for everything…

that you brought into our lives…

having you around

for so many years…

was not a fuss

but the best thing

that ever happend to us…

Thank You

for having enriched my live

in so many ways…

I hoped and I prayed so much

that you could stay…

but God wanted it the other way…

only your body could stay

and given back to Mother Earth…

but during the time we had you here

it was more than worth…

Thank You

when you sent me that Butterfly

who sat down on my left chest

and telling me that you’re doing fine

so that there’s no need anymore

to cry…

She came back the other day

and sat on my right shoulder

just to say

“she’s right here with you

it’s okay…”

and then she flew away

but came back again very soon

to get down on my left shoulder

just for comfort

I assume…

Your Grandpaw gave me a heart

with you name in it

and I want to Thank Him for this

special gift

he said he can’t bring you back

but at least I have you near and dear

close to my heart around my neck😊

Thank You Ann and June of Zoolatry

Ingrid, Dalton and Benji of Meezer’s Mews & Terrieristical Woofs

and Janet and sweet KittiesBlue

for these beautiful badges

to remember you…

Thank you all

for reaching out to me by email

(e)cards, special letters

and prayers

your replies of comfort on our bloggie

and on Instagram

and your memorial posts to Little Binky

that I haven’t read properly yet

as I couldn’t see the letters

through the tears I(‘ve) shed…

I will leave the links here below

for everyone who hasn’t read them also…

from door to door…

You were my sweetest hello

and my hardest goodbye…

We loved you so much

that I hardly can say

how much we miss you

every day…

I don’t want to stop

this longest post…

there’s still so much more to see

as we made so many memories

you, Grandpaw and me…

now take your rest

Where are you Thankful for today?

Pawkisses from Heaven

Dear (Furry)furriends💗

I was just chillaxing and watching

sitting in the garden…

Thursday…

the day before yesterday…

and I thought…

let’s stretch that paws for a minute…

and take a walk…

with my chaperone…

right next to my side…

…like always…

and when I bumped into the door…

I turned around…

got myself a drink…

and a little grass…

checked on Angel’s Place…

for some mousies…

and then I continued my way…

right back…

stood a little…

and then I walked to my chair…

to get myself a little sleep…

and a little light…

then I got up again…

looking around and hearing

the sound of a little birdie…

who was watching right over me…

and then I saw it…

the light…

and the Angels…

they all were surrounded by light…

and I saw the stars…

from nearby…

there was no more dark…

but I felt the loving tears of my mom…

and Grandpaw too…

and Granny kissed me on my head…

saying Goodbye….

when I lay on the table of

one of the kindest vets in our environment…

and I felt her tears running from her eyes…

when she said that we didn’t had another choice

as my legs couldn’t carry me anymore

when that stroke put me down this morning…

it brought me into a status elepticus

that didn’t healed after the medication from the vet…

I purred right back at them…

knowing it was time…

and then I saw Paradise…

I saw all my furriends again…

that I haven’t seen for quite some time…

and there were butterflies…

surrounding me…

and talking to me…

and I heard them say…

“You are safe, Little Binky,

we take care of you now…

and one day

you all will be together again

but first you have to heal and play…”

and I looked at the butterfly…

and then I heard the Fairies say…

✨Welcome Home Little Binky✨

✨Welcome Home✨

Pawkisses from Heaven to all of you

my wonderful furriends

Photobombed by Roses

Hi (Furry)furriends💗

of me…

…yesterday…

that I want to show you today…

so let’s …err… see…

where do we have it…

Grannyyy…

where’s my Selfie…

I think I was kind of photobombed…

now you tell me…

cause I can’t see…

A Poem, An Art, Some Mewsic and A Spark..right on ♪♫♪♪♫

Hi (Furry)furriend💗

I’m still going strong…

and…

I’m still going on…😺

and I can find my way more easily

but besides walking around

I sleep a lot…

…more than ever…

but now that I’m awake

I wanted to put up my best weekend-face…

and share some art with you…

that Granny made this morning

because I asked her to…

and she couldn’t resist…

…don’t ask me why…😻

the only thing I know is

that the art is really colourful…

just as colourful as the hot air balloons

that are flying in the sky…

over our house right now…

I remember how they looked like…

and how they floated in the sky…

and not to forget

how much noise they made…

I’m glad that I can’t hear that anymore…

*mumbles* nor the vacuum cleaner…

I even help Granny with vacuum nowadays…MOL…

Granny says that it disappeared

in the clouds now…

so that brings me to my next purroject…

my poem for my furriends…

No, Granny…

You don’t have to help me with this one…

I can do it by heart…

“Aboard aboard

it’s time to fly

to see the sunset from nearby

and the earth from sky high

just hanging around

no distance no sound

while the Universe is still around

closer than close

in a basket full of souls

lead by the wind

when the lights get dimmed.”

and now I want to tell my furriends

where I’m

T H A N K F U L

for today…

that we have a lot of Ladybugs

in the garden…

that were born here…

and hatched…

in one of the most awwdorable creatures

on planet Earth…

Granny told me that they’re also tame…

I don’t know if this is the right word…

but they come and sit on her

and there was one

the other day

who went shopping with her…

I don’t know what to think of that…

if you ask me

he just wanted to get some groceries

for his own consumption…

Anyway…

Granny is also

T H A N K F U L

that our Cherry tree finally created

two cherries for this year…

one for Grandpaw and one for her…

better something than nothing…

unlike the Cherry tree

the Raspberries are present in full…

Sorry no picture available at this moment…

and Sorry for not having visited all of you…yet…

but Granny spends all of her time with me

…playing chaperone when needed…

as if I can’t take care of myself…🙄

I still can you know😺

We have to work on another purroject now…

but Granny can do it alone

as this is about the mewsic the year that she went

34 years…

so while I take a rest

we go right back to

…the Year of 1992…

Heading for a fall – Vaya Con Dios (1992)

Friday I’m in Love – The Cure (1992)

Human Touch – Bruce Springsteen (1992)
