I had to withdraw for a moment…
because that…err…thing
is following me constantly…
so I haven’t time
for myself anymore…
even when I tell her
to leave me alone for a while…
she’s watching me
from a distance…
and purrtents
that she listens…
by doing other things…
but just when I think
she’s turning into another direction…
she comes after me
…again…
and jumps on me or my tail…
so I have to turn around again
and teach her a lesson…
by telling her
that she has to stop to follow the leader….
then she drips off…
…finally…
so now you know…
why I’m happy
that she’s not allowed
in the garden
…yet…
yes I know
she’s looking for me
…effurrywhere…
and that she waits
until I come back inside…
but she has to learn
that I’m not ready for this…
and that she has to play alone
or with you…
maybe in time…
I still miss my brother
you know…
and I still have to get used
to the new situation…
Granny gave me a Bach Remedy
…Walnut…
to help me to get through this…
which makes it easier…
but better you don’t tell her
where I am now…

How funny!!!! That’s the way it always is when you introduce a new kitten to your existing adult cat. The kitten instantly falls in love with the big cat, following it everywhere, pestering it constantly, until they eventually become best buddies (because the big cat realizes how much fun it is to bat the kitten around like a new toy). It’s a wonderful process to watch!! 🩷

Me hears you, Peachy! Mes has been living with the new guy for five days now. Sometimes me plays with him and let hims sleep by me, but often me just wants my own space and to leave me a lone for a bit, MOL!! Baby-sitting kittens is exhausting, isn’t it?! The new guy wants to be with me always.
Let’s go take a vacation together, MOL!!

Oh Peachy – you and Stippy could annoy each other sometimes we bet, but since you were the same age you understood when you needed some private time. This new little one is probably missing whoever her siblings were, even though they just went to other homes. We know (and so do Granny and Grampa) that you are trying to be patient, and the little one will have to learn patience too. And Granny and Granpa are being patient with you in mourning your brother and with the new little girl feeling scared (a bit) and alone. They are mourning Stippy too (and so are some of us out here who only read about him and never met him but have lost a beloved animal friend or two over time.) So we just send purrayers and love to all of you.

Dear Peachy – I know you still miss your brother and in fact you always will BUT consider this…..you have a new little sister who is looking to YOU to help her feel comfortable in this new place where she is a little scared, a little excited, a little lonely. And YOU are her big brother now and can help her – I know Stippie would want you to make her feel welcome and at home. It’s scary in a new place. We are sending you a big hug for being a brave boy like we know you are……..it’s an adjustment for you AND for her. We know you will enjoy playing with her one day soon………

She cannot replace your Brother, but maybe you will soon love hewr for herself…afterall, she needs a good mentor and example…and maybe you and her will have fun playing together one of these days, right? Inside or out! I bet she misses what she knew before coming to live with you and your peeps.
You know, since she’s just a baby, she’ll need lots of good long naps, so that’s when you can have time for yourself, we think…
