No…

I’m not playing with my treats

Granny…

I know you can’t play with food…

I only wanted to be

T H A N K F U L

for them…

and eat them right after…

they’re very yummy…

for my yesterday’s tanned tummy…

I only have to move chew a little longer

but my teeth are still intact…

so I’m very

T H A N K F U L

for them too…

and I’m

T H A N K F U L

that I can do another poem today

for my furriends Angel Sammy and Teddy

with this picture…

“Oh, Granny,

it looks like a decade ago

when we were playing

with marbles

you know…

full exitement

on the floor

you hit the balls

but I’m not sure

if they were rolling

through the door

straight on my couch

upon my blankie

to play a little

hanky panky

and eat them right after

as sugar candy

but as they weren’t the treats

that I could eat

I didn’t look happily after

but bittersweet.”
