There’s music in my Caturday Art

Hi (Furry)furriends ❤

Granny and I

were nominated for the…

…Shuffle the music Tag!

by our furriend

Samantha

so we are going to thank her

first…

…properly…

before we go on…

to hustle…and shuffle…

the first 15 songs…

that come up…

…into our heads…

and while Granny…

is giving her best

for this Shuffle Tag…

…I make one of my own…

for my furriends…

over at…

…so we can kill

two birds with one stone…

…OMC…

did I really say that…

Okay… Granny…

forget about the birds…

let’s do it…

…start the shuffle…

The first song…

that shuffles around is…

Back to the 80th…

Granny’s Golden Years…

…of music…

A Lover of New Age…

changed all the directions…

…of her life…

…dancing the night away…

with the Simple Minds…

and feeling down black…

…all dressed up in black…

…on a Wonderpurr life…

…1971…

Granny poured her whole heart

into this song…

…of Cat Stevens…

She loved to sing…

and was best class singer

in those days…

…1971…

she never forgets this song….

it was the song when she heard

that God took her best girl furriend back

to heaven…

…because of throat cancer

…she was only 13 years… young…

…One of the reasons that

Granny stopped singing

ever since…

Love hurts…

an everlasting song…

of which the words still count…

who doesn’t feel it when you hear this song…

And then came Queen

in 1974…

and Granny was fan from this moment on…

…she went to their concert

to see Freddy Mercury close by…

and close he was…

only a hand-touch away…

singing out of tune…

…but let’s not let that

spoil the fun… 😉

Depeche Mode

brings finally some quietness

into some agitated years…

…and brought Granny into

Alternative Rock Style of

Radiohead…

…among others…

1969…

Janis Joplin…great singer…

…Woodstock…

11 year old Granny

could only dream

to be there…

…she had to listen to the songs

on the radio…

…the antenna

hung out of the window…

because there wasn’t

a plug inside of the house…

like we have now…

…those were the days…

…my furriends…

Kinks…

Granny loved their music…

…and the singer

…Ray Davies…

well…

Her grand nephew

who was a few years older than Granny…

had the album

of the Kinks…

and when Granny visited

her great-aunt

he always left the album for her

to listen…

that was so kind of him…

that she never forgets….

…him either…MOL 😀

When Granny was about 17 years…

she loved to dance

on the music of Alice Cooper…

School was out….

and she and two of her furriends

danced on stage

in a dancing…

Granny danced the slow part

and her furriends the

…headbangers ball…

Great stuff to remember…

This is one of Granny’s best music

…to get into

relaxation mode….

…my favourite part…

…just listening…

…and dream away…

Yes… yes…

she has seen him too…

her first concert

…sitting in the front row

together with two boy furriends…

and she almost could touch

…David Bowie…

but she was so in shock

that she couldn’t move

…at all…

during the whole concert…

…MOL 😀

This was the beginning of

her…

…as Grandpaw would say…

…Rock Chick Career…

Almost everybody was into

The Beatles’

She loves you…yeah…yeah…yeah…

but Granny was

totally attached by

…Mick Jagger…

and his Rolling Stones…

…Granny has a lot more songs

that have a…deep…

place in her heart…

like Coldplay’s Yellow…

Talking Heads’ Once in a Lifetime…

Snow Patrol’s Run…

Reggae…

Country…

and of course Classical music…

…that I like most too…

Now let me add

another Artwork…

that I was able to do

on LunaPic

in the meantime…

and another one…

where I ended up

on Granny’s lap…

because of the

…Neverending story…

Both are made

with the Rainbow filter

…to stay in style…

    What a great post!

Mum loves music and she has eclectic taste. She remembers that Cure track from her youth and remembers liking it a lot. I like music too, but I don’t care for heavy metal much, which Mum likes to play sometimes. I prefer classical and pop music.

    Love your art too.

What a fun post! I just want to hug you up,Little Binky! Your artwork is just beautiful! And I love Grannie’s selection of music! We have a lot of the same taste! A couple videos didn’t come through (not available in U.S.) and some were new to me. But Cat Stevens, Janis Joplin, Kinks — fabulous! Love the 60s and 70s! And I always had a crush on David Bowie! For me, I fell onto the Beatles’ bandwagon, but the Rolling Stones were the only ones that ever gave them any competition!

Hope you were able to take a look at the videos on YouToube, Linda 🙂 Granny loves the 60s and 70s too, they bring back so many memories of her childhood. I think had a crush on every singer she summed up…and there were so many more in those years…MOL MOL 😀 Double Pawkiss to you my furriend 🙂 ❤

That is an excellent list of songs, many that I love but have not heard in years. I think I would have to add some Willie Nelson, Prince, and Florence & The Machine. 🙂

what a wonderful collection you picked, well done… Alice is still the copilot of the mama when she drives to town… she points with her finger at all the idiots around her while hissing: you’re poissssson!
and we love talk talk… the cover version by Gwen Stefani was also not bad… specially the video…
the mama thinks with Freddie a part of the music generally was gone… there is no one like Freddie… think his charisma and his voice were a gift what happens once in thousand years…
