You might have wondering
why we haven’t been around
to see you last week…
well…
besides the lovely weather…
that we enjoyed until Thursday…
we Granny also has a problem
on WordPress again…
with the storage of pictures…
this is so embarrassing…
but I have to tell you anyway…
you see…
when we upgraded our blog
Granny thought
that we now could resize our pictures
in the blog…
and Yes we could…
but not uploading it with pictures
of almost 10 MB….
…each…
I told her every time…
but she didn’t listen to me…
and now we have to reseize every picture
…..again….🙀
and I use a lot of pictures in my blogs…
so a lot of pictures…
ask for a lot of time…
but while I’m waiting
until everything is fine again…
I can create a Rembrandt…
for artclass today….
and then go on…
to proceed to the order of the day…

10 MB for a single photo?!? That’s too much 😕
1 MB is enough, but you must regulate/modify your camera settings before uploading your images to WP 😜
Select a medium dimension, in fact, if you load too heavy images you will always have problems!
I have lots of images but max. dimension is 1000 x 1000!

Thanks for your input, Sid 😀 We know that the pictures are to big, but Granny was convinced that she could reseize them in WP, not knowing that the original seize was counting…MOL 😀 I told her, but she just wasn’t listing until she saw that she almost had to buy more space again…MOL 😀 We’re probably busy with the reseizing until Christmas 😀 Pawkisses 🙂 ❤

The resizing tool of the images in WP is a mystery to me! It works only if you have certain plug-ins or with some themes. My old, very old theme is out 😛
Until now, in five years blogging, I have used only 13% of my basic space of 3 GB for 1.331 images 😀

I don’t use a lot of images on my blog, Binky; as you know! But, if I was as beautiful as you – well, I probably would use a lot more.. 🙂 You look stunning!
And some bloggers have given some wonderful info regarding ‘resizing’.. Yay to those bloggers. And Yay to your tail cleaning. You are so clever; as is Granny, of course! 🙂

Speaking of Paint….I use paint to resize my pictures to small ones before I put them on the blog. Then they don’t take as much room.

Whoa! WP can be annoying. I’m glad I’m on Blogger. I optimize all my images with Photoshop to avoid storage problems and make the blog load faster.

You are very thorough with your tail cleaning.
Tell Granny to download FreeSizer to the PC. It is free and you don’t have to sign up and create an account. I have used it for years for resizing photos for the blog. You simply drag the files across to the FreeSizer panel, then when you have them all there just click resize. Your original photos will still be there but you will also have an additional one with the same name and resized added.

It is hard with WP and pictures. I have now created a private blog, nobody can see, where I create my posts with pictures and just copy and paste it over to my normal blog. So the pictures don’t take so much room. So I got more space in my original one. Great tail cleaning! 🙂
