Ecological Caturday Art

Hi (Furry)furriends ❤

What a week it was…

we were so busy with the garden…

that we hadn’t have time

to get back into the flow

of blogging again…

…you see…

I told Granny that we have a lot of

little black creatures hanging out

on our plants…

making the plants feeling miserable…

so I tried my intensive look

to furreeze them out..

but that didn’t impurressed them…

…at all…

on the contrary…

they felt invited by my looks

and spread themselves over a lot of other plants…

and with only two LadyBugs in the garden…

who were working overtime

to get the balance back into our garden…

Granny and Grandpaw had to take action…

because also other creatures felt invited by my looks…

and ate the leaves of our salix

in a momentum of time…

so while Granny is spraying water with Tea-tree

two times a day in the early morning and evening…

…like a little breeze…

on the leaves of the plants that are infected…

to get rid of the Aphids

on a natural way…

Grandpaw is busy collecting the whole invasion

of suspected boxwood caterpillars…

that already have eaten

the whole neighbourhood’s Boxwood trees…

…last year…

and now like to eat our garden too…

well…

it sure keeps them busy….

and I’m still on the look-out

to warn them in time

when a new invasion enters the garden…

and while I’m working overtime too…

I can do a little Artwork…

that I turned into a Puzzle too (click on it)

on LunaPic with the Garden-filter

and on top a little Brains-filter

just to remember

to use natural treatments for your garden

so the birdies can eat all the caterpillars

without dying of the toxic pesticides that most people use…

Remember:

…killing is never the answer

to keep an ecological balance…

of every creature in this world…

I have to go check…

the other side…

of our garden now…

right under the plants…

💗Have a wonderful day my furriends💗

Sorry about the invasion, but it’s true; it should be managed in an eco friendly way.

Hope those nasty bugs and the other crawlers are gone now. UGH! I have to remember that trick, for later when those bugs come visiting here.

Cats should have some affinity with caterpillars?

You are so cute Binky. Sorry your garden is invaded. Please stay away from the tea tree oil sprayed plants cos tea tree oil is very toxic to us cats.

I know, CK, but don’t worry, Granny only uses a few drops in a lot of water in a watering can, besides…I can smell that oil from miles away and run away 😹 Pawkisses🐾😽💞

That is such good advice, Little Binky. – and it keeps the garden and lawn safe for you to nap on in the shade,

We love that you and your grand-pawrents are so ecological in the garden and hope they are able to make sure those nasty critters leave while the ladybugs do their endless work.

Sort of a shame that they eat plants in your garden, glad you noticed, so Gran could take action under your watchful eye! Now I need to do the puzzle! 🙂 Yay!

    Hi Binky!
Your humans are furry forward thinking! We live next door to cranberry fields and I wish Ocean Spray was into NO spray. Alas, it kills the good bugs too!

Tea tree, you say? Last week’s snow pushed us back a week, but the sun’s out now and it’s only a matter of time until the aphids come to visit. I covered my plants, so they came through the freeze with flying colors!

Yes, Karel, we use Tea Tree against funghi and aphids and other kind of diseases on trees and plants, but only a few drops in a lot of water. Within two days all the Aphids have disappeared and the plants are growing beautifully again😺Pawkisses 🐾😽💞

I’m going to try that this year! The snow last week has fended off the aphids for a while longer, but it’s just a matter of time.

We put lady bugs in our garden over a decade ago and they’re progeny still do a great job – but they do need some help sometimes. Having bird feeders to attract the birds help too – they are good at getting the bigger bugs. Geckos are another help in our garden. You are beautiful as always Binky, love the art!

Thanks for your input, CC. We have feeders for the birdies too, but when they see me in the garden, they fly over it…don’t know why’s that😺Pawkisses for a Happy Wednesday🐾😽💞
