So…speaking of Heaven, I hope that is where Ronnie James Dio is. He’s local to my general area (born in Cortland, NY I think he grew up in or near Syracuse) and musicians here in the Binghamton, NY area knew him well. Solitude was a big surprise. Several of these songs I had never heard, and it’s too bad the Bob Dylan song wasn’t sung by him (I hate when people on You Tube try to pass their videos off as “original” artists – I was really hoping it was him but I think Dylan generally doesn’t want his music on You Tube). I thank you for the several songs that were new to me.

Those were some fabulous picks here! I was really intrigued with Black Sabbath’s “Solitude” — that kinda wow’d me. I never heard it before and didn’t realize BS could do a song like that. Thanks for sharing that!
And Chris Rea’s “Road to Hell” — I was just introduced to that song and I love it! His voice is fantastic. That girl in the video looks kinda bitchy though, doesn’t she? haha
I also love that you included Passenger! That’s another really good song.
Love the pictures too. That was a great sun-bathing spot!

Wow, those were some pretty cool tunes, Binky. I had no idea Black Sabbath was so diverse…always just thought they were only loud and heavy metal-ish. Good to know. 🎸

Great song picks for this week’s theme! I’m glad you shared Bob Dylan’s original. I had meant to go listen to it on YT before now but failed to do it. Dylan’s version isn’t bad but I still like GNR’s cover better which I also used in my line up this week. Thanks for sharing the dance floor with me and have a boogietastic week, my little furriend!
