…Granny was only hearing German songs those days
because she was still living in Germany…
not sure if she heard them from the one and only radio transmitter
or from the one and only television channel…
well…
at least that makes two to tango…

this is Granny on the right
at her first schoolday together with her furriend…
carrying a tradiotional ‘Wundertüte’
with a lot of goodies inside…
*and much to heavy for a little girl like her…*
she still was 5 here, but turned 6 two month later…
but enough about Granny…

Oh, I never heard those German songs! Pawsome! Your Grans and her friend are just adorables!!! Ma remembers lots of the 60’s songs though ~ she used to hear them all the time on something called the radio ☺

Obviously, the German songs were new to me…..but I am familiar with The Beatles, and love Daytripper/We Can Work It Out! Well, I really like a lot by the Beatles, to be honest.

You are like Rosie she sleeps on my bed, is angry when I want to make it and as soon as it’s done she continues her marathon sleep ! I see your Granny had the same Schultüte as I had ! Only I was 6 school year started at Easter and I turned 7 in July ! So I lost a year for a few months ! Never regretted it, lol !

Oh Binky, I am 3 years younger than your Granny and I look like her on my first day at school with the big “Schul tuete” . I still love Udo Juergens, Remember Roy Black and all other songs too. Does Granny know Chris Roberts? I think that was a bit later but he was my heart throb….oh yes!

You know, I’m not sure that I knew that your mom grew up in Germany until now but then things have a way of slipping out of my head. No, I’m not old…yet! 🙂 I can honestly say this about the German songs I’ve never heard them. lol I love the hit songs mashup from 1964-65 and I do remember these! What a furtastic decade for mewsic!
