This bloggie isn’t about me today…
but of the special rescue story about my sister
…The Nanny…
who lives with my mum and (fur)siblings…
When my Mom was a volunteer in the shelter
where she lived…
there was one kitty
who demanded her attention…
that kitty was Nanny…
she was already a grown up kitty…
and had bad experiences with the various people
where she once lived…
Nanny was brought in and out from the shelter
by people who didn’t deserve her…
Nanny only told me five reasons why they brought her back:
1) they gave her away
because the owner got kittens
and she wasn’t nice to them…🥱
2) the woman of her next home
wanted a kitty which she
could comb…
…the whole day long..
and The Nanny did not
wanted that….
…well…
…I wouldn’t either…😼
3) she peed in bed
in her next home…🤔
4) she wasn’t a sweet kitty…🥱
5) and last… but not least…
the kid was allergic to her…
…at once???…”
and more
of these fake reasons…🙄
My mom didn’t believe any of this…
not even when the chief of the shelter by the way!
told her
that The Nanny wasn’t placeable
with other cats and children…
but my mum took her in anyway
and saw
that The Nanny was a goodhearted kitty
who loved all my furrsiblings…
big and small…
and my two feet brothers and sister…
and their shoes…
and nip…
and to be petted…
and to be in the picture…
she’s about 15 years old now
and lives with my mum for more than 7 years now…
and she’s having the time of her live ever since
…finally she feels really loved and wanted…
I’m deeply
T H A N K F U L
that there are Angels on this planet
that help kitties like my sister
and give them a furrever home…
You only have to look beyond from what you see
and what they tell you…
and I’m sure that someone in the shelter
is waiting there for

to get another chance…
They all deserve it!

Such a beautiful story about Nanny. So many people don’t realize that 99% of “problem cats” are that way because of their problem people!

Always a good feeling to hear when an adopted cat is happy & doing well. Sadly, stories like those The Nanny shared with you are all too common, as I understand from what I’ve heard from other volunteers at Animal League. My favorite 🙄 is where the (newly adopted) cat is still hiding and not being social (after less than a week); or the puppy that was “too much of a puppy”; etc 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️.

Sadly I’ve heard through volunteers at Animal League, where I also volunteer, many stories such as these. Including bringing the cat because it was still hiding and not coming out & being social…. After less than a week 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️. I am glad The Nanny is doing so well and is happy now. Always a good feeling to hear all is well with an adopted cat.

Thank You Binky for telling the story of Nanny. So many cats are returned for what end up to be excuses. We are thankful that she Was returned instead of dumped on the street which happens too often. We are so glad she had a forever home and it happy. You too dear friend!

Nanny’s hard road to happiness was most sad indeed with nobody taking time to really understand her – until she was adopted by your Mum. Bless her for being patient with Nanny and allowing her to “bloom” like a beautiful rose with a family who loves her. Such a SWEET story!!
