When EU-not-NICE comes around

Hi (Furry)furriends💗

Is Eunice gone Granny…

she really made a mess…

in our garden…

when she howled past with a speed of 110 km/h

(windspeed (70 miles an hour)…

and still isn’t finished…

I knew it immediately

when Granny showed me the picture of the Moon

with a flock of birds dancing around her…

it was the Snowmoon…

but she was really feeling like an IceMoon…

and it was getting darker and darker…

day by day…

and then it started…

from Wednesday and still on today…

and in the meantime

Eunice let the dustbins fly

damaged our car and scooter…

but Thankfully not on our head…

and I was really irritated

that I couldn’t get outside…

because that storm was to frightening…

and this morning…

the Moon finally showed her face…

and brought a little light…

into the darkness…

not that Eunice is gone…

but at least she became milder…

and all the time

I held my mousie, angel and toast

under my paws

so that they couldn’t fly away…

with that

EU-not-NICE storm….

and I got plenty of time

for my artwork and puzzle…

and my poem…

so time wasn’t wasted after all…

“Now I wonder what happens

when EU-not-NICE flies by

into the antique shop

with the old oversupplies

would the telephones go ringing

and the diamond lamps go clinging

if so

that also means

no more cha-chinging

and from all the frills

there won’t be any bills

so better stop in time

and bring the Earth back in line

let EU-not-NICE disappear

to bring a little Peace back here

before it all falls around

to the ground.”

We’re so

T H A N K F U L

that we only have to clean up the mess

and that Grandpaw can fix the rest…😸

Eunice wasn’t very nice. I saw what some other UK furrends posted on Facebook. Glad it’s gone and Franklin too. It was good that you had your toys under paw.

We’re glad you’re all safe. We’ve had our fair share of storms, and they can be scary!

Goodness gracious! So sorry you had such an unfriendly storm. Hopefully she’ll clear out totally soon and your garden can march toward more spring-like weather.

We didn’t understand at furrst who/what Eunice is/was (mol). We thought it was a purrson or another Cat! It took a while before We realised she was a storm. She sounds really scary. Glad you and your family are safe despite the mess that horrid old Eunice left.

It’s sweet that you kept your friends safe under your paws 🙂
I stayed inside and managed to escape with just a couple of very heavy flower pots and next door’s fence knocked over. Mum and Dad’s garden shed collapsed.
    Not nice at all 😦

At my house, the wind tried to knock my head off, and made Mom and me walk crooked when we went outside. Not fun! #notsonice

Wow, Little Binky, that sure was/is a very nasty storm. I saw a picture of the wild waves at Terschelling looked so scary and violent. We had a wind here last night too, but only gusts of 90km…
Glad you are all alright, and safely warm and dry. Your poor garden will need a lot of TLC, but I think your Granny and Grandpaw will do a good job with your snoopervision.

Binky I’m so happy to hear that you and your family are OK. That storm was and still is a MEAN storm! I don’t like scary storms – high winds make me nervous. I’m sorry your garden, car and scooter had some “injuries” but if you all are OK then that’s the most important thing. As for your poem – oh my goodness – even in a terrible storm you got a fabulous poem done. Mom and I love it! I bet next week’s poem will be fun too because of the old fashioned store.

    Stay safe!

Eunice was not very nice to us either. She sent winds of 95-100mph and brought down lots of trees and powerlines. We were under a red warning so no unnecessary journeys, not that we would have wanted to go out. We lost our power but were lucky it was only for 3 1/2 hours. A lot of people still haven’t got theirs back yet. We still have 60-65mph winds, but they feel like a breeze after yesterday!
You poem is very good, and so is your art.

that was a very clever play on words Binky! I am glad that you and the family are safe!!! It sounds like it was quite scary! We had high winds last night but nothing that lasted as long as yours. I’m so sorry your car and things were damaged, hoping the damage wasn’t too extensive. Sending lots of love!
