Hi (Furry)furriends💗

You better take a rest somewhere else
Stippie…

because you’re grounded
and I have to stay in as well…

so I don’t want any distractions
from you anymore…
because I have a story to tell…
and it’s all about you…

and it started Tuesday morning at 6:30…

you had been staring at that pot-angel
for quite some time…

and looking out for a moment…

that there was no chaperone nearby…

and if she was…

you purrtended

that you were just playing around…

and exploring other things…

like you were distracting us
with what you’re up to…

but Granny saw it in your cattitude
and face
for a long time…

that you would try…
when she didn’t keep an eye
on you…

and when I was trying to climb
in the apple tree

which I could…
but once I was in the middle of the tree

I didn’t know how to get down anymore
as I don’t jump from up there
on the ground
like you do…

so Granny had to help me
to put me safe on the ground again…

when we saw you jumping on pot-angel
and from there over the fence
of the neighbours…
…who have doggies…🙀

Granny and I were so worried…
I was walking back and forth
and heard you crying meowing
not knowing how to get back to us
into our garden…
Granny ran to the neighbours house
calling for you
but it was so early in the morning
that no-one heard her…
as effurry one was still asleep…
and you didn’t dare to get away from the fence…
so she ran back to our house
and still saw me stressful
walking from one side to the other…
and it broke Granny’s heart to see me like this
and to hear you calling for her
…she really felt so helpless…

and I saw her tears running from her eyes…
in that moment a wonder happened…
you found your way back over the fence
and because of the barriers
you had to jump from up there
to the ground…

that’s why Granny has spoken to you
admonishingly…
and had also to built another barrier
on top of the fountain…
for your own safety…

…because you tried to jump on the shed too…

and she had to find another barrier
for pot-angel
because she felt sorry for me
that I had to stay inside too
because of your actions…
so until Grandpaw came home from work
she skewered the pot-angel…

and when Grandpaw was home
he and two-feet grandson
put pot-angel next to other pot-angel…

so you can’t climb it again…

with all its consequences…

and besides you have to learn…

that the grass may look greener on the other side
but that doesn’t mean

that there’s no danger…

So we’re very
T H A N K F U L
that this story has a happy end
and that we are allowed to go
in the garden again…
WITH Granny…

she keeps an eye on us
all the time…
she even irons in the garden
to be sure Stippie is there too…
she says she needs to gain trust in you again
so no more alonies for us
until then…
but she has to admit
that you have been a very good boy since then…
you really made it up to her
so she can have faith again in you…

Granny knows that I listen better…
most of the times…
and I don’t even want to know
what’s on the other side…
I know what I have
and not what I get
and besides
I don’t what anything or anyone else
then my Granny and Grandpaw…
*mumbles*
“I can’t jump that high anyway…”

And now let’s do a poem for my furriends
Angel Sammy and his brother Teddy again
on this picture…

“I feel like a fish in the water
even if no-one can see
swimming is one thing
that I learned very quicklee
and that I adored
even before I was born
remember the kicking
from left to the right
inside your tummy
effurry day and effurry night
just like a mermaid
flipping around
but better hold me tight now
before I splashdown.”

Yikes, glad there was a happy ending. Best to head the barriers-they’re for your protection little one.
Jun 06, 2023 @ 00:12:08
Whoa, Stippie, its a good thing those doggies were inside their house and asleep…Phew! Hope you’ll not try that again…ever.
Peachy, we think you are an excellent story teller.
We love your poem!

Stippie, there’s a reason for that saying “Curiosity killed the cat”!
You have such a lovely home – why would you want to go anywhere else?
Jun 04, 2023 @ 04:45:36
Stippie, you scared all of us, but especially Granny and Peachy! Please stay in your own yard, okay? Your garden is beautiful and wonderful, and you do not need to explore elsewhere, okay? XO
Jun 03, 2023 @ 17:25:32
Glad it worked out in the end. Too much curiosity is not always a good thing
Jun 02, 2023 @ 20:21:50
Stay home, Stippie!

Charlee: “Yikes! That is frightening! We are glad Stippie came home safe from the doggy side of the fence! I would be much too scared to try something like that myself!”
Chaplin: “I would consider it, maybe, if I thought there was something very interesting on the other side.”
Oona: “OVER THE FENCE OONA GOES!!! WOO-HOO!!!”
Jun 02, 2023 @ 14:53:59
Stippie, you must stay in your own yard. You don’t want to lose your outside privileges.
Jun 02, 2023 @ 11:24:03
we totally agree… maybe the grass is greener there, but the real greenies are always at home ;O)
Jun 02, 2023 @ 10:50:14
We were worried about that fence as it looked climbable…Maybe something at the top that curves inward. That’s what we have – a piece that is bent toward the garden that could not be scaled even by a kitty. Wow what an adventure and so scary….so glad it turned out well especially for granny.
Jun 02, 2023 @ 10:08:05
That was very, very naughty of you! You mustn’t scare Granny like that! Ever!

The Chans

Oh no, I’m glad you made it back safely 😮 You’re born explorers 🙂
Jun 02, 2023 @ 05:26:42
That is a scary story. Glad everyone is ok
Jun 02, 2023 @ 02:03:35
Oh my goodness, you sure scared Granny and I’m glad she figure out some more safety measures so you two can still enjoy the garden. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Jun 02, 2023 @ 01:52:04
How exciting, but I must insist, no more of that.

I am really glad the story had a happy ending. You should be grounded for at least a month for that scare. Cute poem. XO
Jun 02, 2023 @ 00:55:22
OMGoodness, Stippie! That is the craziest story I ever heard. I’m SO relieved there’s a happy ending! In your own garden and close to Granny is ALWAYS the best place to be. No more fence hopping!
Love and licks,
Cupcake

We are so glad that this saga had a happy ending…and that Granny is so diligent in protecting you two. We know you young’un will want adventure, but we want you to stay safe.
Jun 01, 2023 @ 21:59:25
What a scary story. Your garden is so wonderful, you have no need to go anywhere else. Yet you are young and like jumping of course. So I think Granny will have to be extremely careful with you two to keep you safe.
Glad you are all ok and together again.
It must have been a shock for Granny.
Keep safe my darlings.
Jun 01, 2023 @ 21:59:03
STIPPIE! You frightened your mommy half to death. That was as hard on her as on you. And seeing you afraid made it even worse. Our moms love us so much. We can’t bear seeing any of our kitties in distress. You must be a GOOD boy! Both of you.
Jun 01, 2023 @ 21:57:57
Oh Stippie! You mustn’t frighten Granny like that. You were lucky that it was early and the dog wasn’t out. Be a good boy or you will lose your garden freedom
Jun 01, 2023 @ 20:58:09
What a week y’all had and thank goodness you’re all back together safe and sound but I must acknowledge your athletic skills. Have a pawsome weekend. ❤️🐾
Jun 01, 2023 @ 20:52:37
Oh dear! Stippie sometimes curiosity can be a DANGEROUS thing! You were lucky the doggy didn’t find you and that you were able to figure out how to get back over the fence. Now that the pot angel is moved maybe you can STAY SAFE! You must not be so “adventurous” – you do have the best home, best humans, and best brother EVER so stay this side of your fence and be happy. Now – that poem about the little boy “fish” in the pool that you wrote is absolutely AWWDORABLE! We just love it……!! Good job!
Love and Hugs, Teddy
