what we’re doing with all these pots…
that was a new invention of Granny
before we started on the final
…catproof fence…
…show them Stippie…
they’re here…
and there…
and over here…
and over there…
they’re all around the garden…
…effurrywhere you look…
so many
that it easily was passed on
to Granny and Grandpaw…🙈
and that pothopper…🦗
Stippie told Granny exactly
where she had to hang the new pots…
and she got very creative
and hung a half wall fence
with other things she found
to keep that boy behind bars in the garden…
until the polycarbonate sheets
were hung by Grandpaw…
but our little Houdini
managed to use effurry inch
to climb over the fence…
so I told Granny where that was…
and the now-an-expert-Granny
created another
temporary blockade…
…she really missed her calling…MOL…
and Houdini…
well…
he tried two times to climb the fence
but can’t hold himself anymore
on the polycarbonate sheets
and has to leave to stay in the building garden
with dignity …😜
look how he wraps his arms around the other fence…
but look how far he had come
if he tries this…MOL…
Hey…
don’t stop reading…
there’s more to come…
because when this problem was over
another problem presented itself…
because all the stress about moving over the fence
we had to use the pots of the trees
so we needed something else
to prevent us for climbing the apple tree…
and Granny thought
WOW!
that’s a great Cat repellent belt…
…see…
that’s purrfect…
for other cats…
not me…
so can you catch me again Granny…
otherwise I need extra eyes…
as that whitesel is coming up…
now stay down and wait Stippie…
Granny has to help me to get down first…
as I don’t jump down
like you do…
I don’t think you can get up anyway…
just wait and see Peachy…
better think harder…
Houdini did it again…
but I can get out of here
all by myself…
and guess what Granny did with the pots…
to make a barricade…
so we both can’t get in the Apple tree…
and in the Bride
anymore…
well…
think again…
but at least it was worth a try
and we’re only get in there
when Granny’s around…
but for now…
Stippie only has eyes
for the neighbours…
and now he doesn’t have the urge
to go out of the garden
anymore…
and he’s happy anyway…
so one less thing to worry about…

Your Granny has amazing ideas, I love those pots everywhere, but you 2 are just too curious. She really makes the garden cat proof. Do be good and don’t find any other ways, so Granny can relax a bit when you are out.

Haha they have Granny playing a great game of hang the pots and give them lots of fun exciting things to figure out how to do. Unless the tree is close to another escape route it would be nice for them to climb it. Good exercise for them and lets them see what’s going on (possibly another escape route though… lol). I always wanted a yard like that so I could keep my cats in and safe from escape but also have wanted a tree for them to climb and get exercise. NFCs can climb downwards easily because of their paws. This was a great post and so interesting! Thank you.

I showed and read your adventures with the pots and apple tree to Beatrix, my granddaughter. She thinks you are two very clever kitties but Granny is one step in front of you when you are busy with your new adventures and Houdini tricks.

Granny is a straight-up GENIUS to make so many kitty-climb-proof inventions. She is one determined human! Thomas Edison failed 1,000 times before he invented the lightbulb. He didn’t think of them as failures, tho. He only saw 1,000 ways that did not work before he figured out the one way that did.

My goodness boys! Do you have secret wings that let you get up on things that should be impossible to get up on? I think you are amazing that no matter what kind of barrier Granny puts up, you find a way. One day you will see that you are only really truly SAFE in your own yard and you will stay “home” with no escapes….and you will all live happily ever after!!!!
