and to listen to the stories of the Dryads
…the spirits of Nature…
especially the ones that live in a tree…
they are magical…
not that we’ve ever seen one…
but when you close your eyes
near to a tree
you can…
and you can smell them too…
this one smells like
…Peachy…
you better sit still…
when Granny is reading…
besides…
I’m listening to the story…
so you better keep quiet…
or go somewhere else…
where you can play…
…alone…
until we finish the story…
that’s better…
okay…
let me show you then
what tree spirit I have found…
…there she is…
…see…
she looks like an
all-kinds-of-effurrything Dryade…
but I think I better tell you
where we’re
T H A N K F U L
for…
…this beautiful snail…
and the two birdies
…handmade with the machine…😸
but still gorgeous…
…don’t you think…
and we’re
T H A N K F U L
that Granny takes time
to read for us…
so we can make time
for our furriends Angel Sammy and Teddy
to make a poem…
on this egg…err…Eggie…
“Who said they would drop me
right on top of the wall
when all I ever wanted
was a soft landing
in boiling water
that’s all
now my shell is broken
and my feet are dangling down
and even if I look like
an eggcentric clown
I maybe still taste good
after my fall down.”

Oh, you two are too cute listening to the dryad story, but yes, it does require attention, sweet Peachy. Maybe jump in granny’s lap next time to hear better, haha. Nice poem too.

Boys you all look adorable waiting to hear the story but you have to sit and be quiet for a little while so Granny can tell the story the right way! We think you probably are protected by all the GOOD spirits in your garden because you’re such good boys (mostly!). Your poem was really and truly FABULOUS!
