keeping an eye on the door…

Santa comes earlier this year…
yes of course we can tell
what we are Grateful for…

T H A N K F U L
for
our Advent Calendar…
from which we opened the first door
last Tuesday the third…
Peachy found the door immediately
and Granny was surpurrized
that he opened the right door…
while she even couldn’t find the number🙈
after we got our treats
Granny had to put the calendar
high on the kitchen cupboards…
….don’t aks me why…🙈
I’m
T H A N K F U L
for my daily brushies…
Grandpaw started this daily routine
a few months ago…
and now when Granny is combing her hair
I come to sit next to her feet
and ask her to comb my hair too…
I want to look good
just like Grandpaw…
Granny is
T H A N K F U L
for the two mousies
that I caught for her yesterday
and this early morning…
she said with tears in her eyes
‘Thank You Peachy
I’ll bury them under the lavender
in the front yard…
and then I hear her whispering
“fly free you sweet little mousie”

she’s also
T H A N K F U L
for
the two roses
that still hanging in there
very little but very beautiful
…don’t you think…
…still nothing to see there, Stippie…
we can do a poem for our furriends

as you can see
he looks exactly the same as me
almost like twins
as we have the same chins
and don’t miss the underbite
that makes the whole twinthingie right
the only difference that there is
I walk on four paws
and he on two feet
but besides that
we’re fully complete
with a heart of gold
at least that’s what they’ve told
and if you want to know us around the clock
my name is dog
and his is not.”

It is so much to be thankful for every day. I am so happy htere is lots you find to be grateful. Life is wonderful, just never take anything for granted.

Well boys, you’re doing a good job watching for Santa but you have a bunch of days before he’ll be visiting you – just continue to be good boys so he will leave you lots of FUN stuff!! We think that poem for the man and his twin dog (haha) is fabulous. They sure look related don’t they? My Mom says she and I have only one thing in common – a little overweight!!! HAHA

Santa mostly sticks to the schedule, just as you did with the Advent calendar. It’s better that way.
What nice brushing! My kitties won’t always let me brush them.
It’s very kind of you to catch mousies to help provide food for your Granny, but I’m not sure she really likes mouse much, most people don’t. Only the best kitties try to help bring food in.
The roses are beautiful and your poem is just right, it made me smile so big!
