Thankful Thursday Poem

Hi (Furry)furriends😸

Faye

come and look at this…

I think it’s time for us

to harvest…

this enormous amount of

grapes…

it’s a lot…

but to much for Granny and Grandpaw

to eat…

so our twofeet family

has to help eating them…

because we don’t like them

at all…

but Granny has to be very careful

when she goes picking the grapes…

as there’s a lot of hornets living in them…

that I’m not allowed to eat…

or hit…

come Faye

now where are you going…

we have to tell Granny about the grapes…

just got distracted…

by other species…

we have a lot of Daddy Longlegs

in the garden…

so I got myself a lot of snacks today…😹

come on…

before you turn into a Daddy Longleg

yourself…

I think I have to eat more of them

to achieve that Peachy…

now let’s tell our furriends

where we’re

T H A N K F U L

for today…

for this delicious amount of

blue grapes…

and the white wine grapes…

the most beautiful Geraniums

that are still standing…

maybe they like to be around

the hornets

and grape smell…

these Verbena’s don’t smell…

but we let them stay

until the Hummingbird Moth

gets away…

I could help you with that🙊

…don’t you dare…

we all keep an eye on you👁️

I didn’t say that I would do it…

at least

not again🙈

now look where we also

T H A N K F U L

for…

…the Autumn sky…

it looks fantastic

doesn’t it…

as if there’s an orchestra

playing in the sky…

…talking about orchestras…

that reminds me

that we have to do a poem

for our furriends Angel Sammy and Teddy

on this picture

“It’s all in the family

as you can see

we all play our instruments

the way it has to be

it’s our task to do it right

when we play the violins by night

the accordion makes us all happy here

and brings out the best in the atmosphere

and when we need a low frequencie range

then the bass makes the change

some also play guitar

and some do saxophones

for the jazzy tones

and when we make mewsic altogether

no matter in what kind of weather

nor in what mood we’re in

we just give it a spin

as we have one rule for our formula

always do your best in our frochestra.”

Your grapes look really yummy. It doesn’t matter what we plant, the animals and birds eat most of it before we get it. (At least someone appreciates it.)

Wow, that is a lot of grapes! Careful of the hornets, though 😮

Wow Granny’s grapes are fantastic. Ours are really tiny, supposed to be Riesling. No wine this year. 🙂

With all the insects out there you and Granny have to be so careful, and don’t eat anything you shouldn’t.

    Love you!

That’s a terrific poem guys. And talk about an impressive harvest of grapes. Maybe your Granny can make grape jelly to use them all.

Those grapes all look gorgeous! Grapes are deadly poisonous for doggies. Are they bad for kitties, too? They are super yummy for the humans, for sure. And I guess for the hornets too! Yikes!

    Sloppy kisses,

    Delilah

Yep, they’re poisonous for kitties too, but only when they have become currants, but we don’t like them anyway, no matter what shape they’re in, Delilah😹

What a great poem, and you are such cuties, Peachy, and Faye. You could make grape jelly out of those gorgeous grapes. Hugs! 😻

Charlee: “Those are a lot of grapes! Maybe you could get into the wine business!”Chaplin: “Our Dada has been picking figs for the last month or so. The fig tree usually has a lot of bees in it, but unlike hornets they’re pretty docile and don’t get upset when Dada picks figs from it.”

Great job on the poem. How blessed Granny is to have so many grapes. She could make jelly. We have some Concords that I am going to make jelly out of. XO

Grapes and hornets are not good for kitties, so we are glad you are leaving them be. That sky and your poem are both lovely.

That was a lovely poem about the frog orchestra. Leave those nasty hornets alone, Faye, they have a painful sting. The daddy longlegs are more fun. Do you get grasshoppers? Eric used to love them.

WOW! That was an incredible poem gang! WELL DONE and so fun to read…..wouldn’t it be fun to have a frog orchestra…..I bet if we lived closer to the lake here in our neighborhood we could hear a frog orchestra every night (which might make us crazy!!). Anyway, GOOD JOB……………and the photos of the back yard and those gorgeous grapes – yum. Hornets are scary so be very careful little Faye – you might get stung. Just be careful OK? Your brother will watch out for you. Thank you for playing poetry with us – you did a GRAND job!

    Love, Teddy (and Mom too)
