Grandpaw…

it’s not really ours…
Grandpaw gave it to Granny
but we’re allowed to play with him…
I know
we always share…
also the puppets
hear…see…and…
…no speak…
so no one can tell
that I try to grab the mousie…
that’s right on top of the
unhearer…
…I’m the speaker Faye…
so let the puppets go
and come right down
to show our new rug…
I love that rug…
it’s very soft…
and I can slide on it…
like in the snow…
I like it too…
not the sliding though…
and we have new grass too…
it has grown so high
that we almost need a mower…
we have a lot to be
T H A N K F U L
for today huh…
…for sure…
now let’s go outside
and enjoy a little bit of sunshine
and the plants that
came back from last year…
and look who started to bloom…
The Bride…
lovely as effurr…
…to bad that the rain and storm set in…
so maybe we can’t enjoy her
for a longer time…
neither can the humble bees..
and other critters
when we get to much rain…
but at least
Granny got us two new bowls…
…for our meals…

but talking about meals…
that reminds me
that we have to do our poem
for our furriends

dinner has been served
and look what she prepurred
a proper and healthy dish
filled with a whole lot of fish
and we wished
we were able
to get on the table
for a little bite
of delight
or do we have to wait
until we get some of that plate
we purromise that we’re not greedy
but can’t it get a little more speedy
because empty bellies
must be feedy.”

My goodness. Look at the Bride. She is looking beautiful and I am so glad you showed her to us. Your new rug is wonderful! I would take some naps o it if I was there. Think you might do that too?
Your new bowls are purrfect! Everyone can tell who they belong to!

Lots of lovely new things to show us, Faye, but I don’t think it is a good idea to chew on them. The new rug is lovely, and the Bride is looking beautiful. Your poem is fun too.

Well you two did a GREAT job with the poem for the week – but you ALSO did a great job sharing with us all the new things in your house….a pretty rug, little statues to chew (!)…..a little stuffy that Grandpaw gave Grandma but you decided to play with too……AND out the window in the garden all kinds of signs of SPRING! We have no signs of Spring here yet – in fact it snowed yesterday……it covered everything then in an hour the sun came out and it all went away. We are READY for REAL SPRING!
