Lulu: “We like to lie in the sun for a while, but then we get too warm and it’s time to move into the shade. Some of our trees are gone now but we still have the big silk floss tree to sit under, and of course I have my big rosemary patch with the cave underneath it. Dada says I come out of there smelling like an herb garden!”

Indeed the sun burns quite some plants. I got my umbrellas up too just for my plants. 🙂 Do keep in the shade my lovleies, near the pool, that would be my favourite spot.

Because of the hot temps, shady spots this summer have been so appreciated. Some days I feel like a Wiley Coyote cartoon quickly dashing from one shady spot to the next.

Oh that’s a great idea! Umbrellas for shade would be really nice when it’s hot. Also the pavement and bricks and stones are cooler when they’re in the shade. Nice to lie on! You two look like you’re enjoying the new additions to the garden – they bring you some SHADE!
