Aww…Monday Music Spark

Hi (Furry)furriends ❤

Oh, no…

not again…

Here we go again…

Yesterday we had a major storm…

and today we have this…

all over the place…

Thank Cat the LadyBug got herself an island…

in time…

and my new furriends…the pigeons

found themselves some hot steamy stones

on top of the roof…

yes, I know that you only saw one of them…

but one flew away when they saw…

Granny…

while the other one furrooze…

I guess this is the best time

to make some music with my furriends at

with this week’s Theme

Vintage Songs Covered by not-so-long-ago artists…

Let’s see what we found for the challenge…

Granny chosed a few songs that she remembers

and that touched her heart

when she was a young girl…

This song of 1963 has covered by…

Grace and G-Eazy in 2015…

We’re not so in this “Yo Yo Yo” Hip Hop thinging…

but the way they put this song into a new furr

is absolutely well done…

Look what we have here…

I put a Spell on you from CCR 1968…NOT!

The original is of ‘Screamin’Jay Hawkins 1956

and we have to say…it’s screaming…MOL 😀

This song is covered many times

but we still love the for us original version of CCR…

and now…tada…

50 shades of Annie Lennox

has covered it in 2014…

The next song we found was

Summer wine of Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood…

goosey bumps and nostalgia coming by…

while the “Angels kissing Spring”

This song was covered by

Ville Valo and Natalia Avelon in 2007…

and it’s a nice version of the original…

but Granny only likes to listen to this song

because the singer looks like ‘her’ Johnny Depp…MOL…

well…at least in this video…

Here comes another song

that made a deep impurression on Granny…

The Animals…

with Don’t let me be misunderstood of 1965…

The original was from Nana Simone in 1954

and guess who made a cover out of it in 2012…

Great singer…great voice…purrfect purrformance…

*mumbles* still like the Animals more…

How about this song of Vanilla Fudge’s

You just keep me hangin’ on of 1968…

Great purrformance if you ask me…

Kim Wilde made a succesfull cover of it in 1986

and Michael Bolton covered it in 2013

that was amazing…

unfortunately we don’t have a video of it

because we don’t have iTunes…

and the video is blocked for our Country…

but when you can see the video

you really have to take a look at it and listen… ❤

There are so many songs that have been covered

so this is just a tiny little piece of it…

but we like the original songs best…

that means…

the original songs for Granny

when she heard it for the first time….

every song is a memory…

some good…some bad…

but there’s a whole childhood recorded

in every one of these songs…

I hope the post will show up easily

with all the videos…

if not, please leave me a comment

so we know what to do next time…

“Granny…

I have to get myself a business

with all of these investigations”…MOL 😀

💗Have a swinging Monday everyone💗

Aww..Monday Music Spark

Hi (Furry)furriends ❤

Granny

are you coming…

we have to work on our new

music theme…

“Music that teaches…”

Well…

let’s go and see where the music takes you…

as there are many many songs

that teaches not only the world

but you in particular…

I think music comes to you when you need it…

when your heart needs an uplift…

music touches your heart

and can change the you into a better you…

you only have to listen…

just like I do when I hear a spider

that you can’t hear…

Don’t bring up that song now, Granny…

…this song of 1969

…Granny was eleven years old

she had just moved from Germany to the Netherlands

and had to deal with the hate between the two Countries

because of the war almost 25 years earlier…

that they almost blamed on her…

the bullying at school because of her accent

and her different kind of upbringing…

and the homesickness…

…from that moment on

she knew that

“You can’t always get what you want”

but you get what you need…”

not understanding what it meant

in those days…

but a few years later it actually made sense…

it taught Granny…and me🙄

that you can’t have everything you want in life…

especially not

when you THINK you want it…

but that you can get what you need in life

or what you desire…

when it comes from your heart…

Another song that teaches us

how we can come out of isolation and confusion

or stay in…

at least that’s our interpurretation of the song…

we want to keep it positive… 😉

comes from 1974

Granny thought this song was written especially for her

and stayed in that

shell for a long long time…MOL😹

The next song teaches us

that every change starts with ourself…

“If you want to make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and make that
Change!”

OMC…What do you mean…

That’s not what they meant

with teaching songs…

Of course these are teaching songs…

they teach our inner and the outer world..

we learn a lot of the lyrics…

our English has impurroved…

at least a little…

by listening, reading and singing the lyrics…

especially the la la la’s went purrfect…

I can write a whole book

with all the music that teaches us so much through life

but it’s time to drink something…

and stretch my legs…

for a round around…

just one more song of 1987…

that changed Granny’s life furrever…

the lyrics speak for themselves…

Granny says this was a call of her soul…

well…

I hear my couch calling…

so see you next time…

Awww…Monday Spark on the Rock

Hi (Furry)furriends ❤

Granny is totally under the weather

she got herself some flu

when she came home from to the grocery store…

last week…

so I have to do the postie all by myself…

please forgive me that the pictures are not

as sharp as usual they could be…

that’s because of the sun…

who’s still around…

Anyway…

don’t let us get distracted from that…

I’m about to dance for my furriends @

so let’s do that on this week’s theme:

my your choice…”

Queen…

One of Granny’s favourite bands…

when she was a teen…

…and later on…

When she heard Killer Queen…

she was totally in love with Freddie Mercury…

and besides that

she loved the music

and became fan from this moment on…

she saw Queen back in 1977

when they came to Rotterdam Ahoy

for the first time

…she was sitting on the first row

and almost hang on his lips …

…she was in shock the whole concert…

Of course you all know Queen…

but this song was in Granny’s head

when she saw me hunting in the garden…

Now let’s dance…

before I tell you My Choice…

Here we go🎸🎷🎸

right paw front…

and back…

left paw in front…

and back…

left paw in front

and..

cha…

cha…

cha…

My Choice…

Freddie’s little Purrincess Delilah…

Hope you Enjoy the video

as much as we did 🙂

And here’s our Monday Spark…

in style…

Aww…a Swinging Monday’s Spark

Hi (Furry)furriends ❤

We’re having an early Spring

in my Country…

so I took a lot of sun this weekend…

and purrovide my skin with vitamins

and boost up my tan…

and to see how much my tan changed…

I had to sit down in the flowerpot…

next to my dried nip…

and inhale every bit of it….

I also thought this place is the best place

to play some Music…

for my new challenge…

The Music Mooves Me…

with Cathy…

I’m not sure which badge

I have to use for this…

but I know the themes

for the occassion…

First it was a Battery song…

and as Granny loved Metallica in her younger days

she remembered the Battery song…

but OMCowKittiness🙀

that song potted me up

in no-time…

that heavy metal really was to heavy

for Granny’s ears and mine…

but she still loves

the slow numbers of Metallica…

even if they need some batteries

in comparisson to the heavy stuff

if you ask me…

better play the Battery of Brandon Rhyder…

to give Grandpaw some credits in this post…

as he happens to be a Country music lover…

Let’s stay a little in the atmosphere of the Country music

with the next theme

…Smoke…

No Granny…not Smokie…

youth sentiment…yeah…I know…

no…

this Smoke comes from

A Thousand horses…

and they make a lot of smoke…YeeHaw😸

Great music b.t.p. (by the paw)…

Next theme we need to unzip, is

Alarm…

not easy to find…

but as Radiohead is one of Granny’s favourite bands

this song came up…

not her favourite song of Radiohead…

but the alarm is in on 1:35…😸

Last bust not least the keyword Charge…

and this one was really hard

to find…

so we have to go for…

…No Charge…

in a different sene 😉

written by Harlan Howard…

and Melba Montgomery sang it

for the first time in 1974…

but we chosed this version of

Shirley Ceasar…

because it hit us

right through the bones…

Let me sit next to the pot…

in my nip now

to charge at least myself up…

or down…MOL😹
