Today
is a very special day…
…and I want to
draw awareness
on this heartfelt event…
…too…
by telling you a true story…
about an elderly catlady…
that made herself at home
at a shelter….
because she had
no home…
anywhere else…
…she could walk
in and out…
…freely…
and always came back
to hang around
the volunteers…
…and take a nap…
…she felt at home there…
and lived there for more than
10 years…
…already…
…but…
two years ago…
they closed the shelter…
because the government
didn’t want to
pay for a
renovation on the shelter…
…so that meant….
that the Lady Cat
and all the other animals
that lived there…
had to be moved
to another shelter…
which was possible…
except for the old Lady Cat…
because she didn’t lived there…
…officially…
…they only gave her
two options…
1. to kill or
2. not to kill!
…and they gave her time
until the shelter
would close…
but no-one came for her…
no-one wanted her…
because she was to old…
and Granny and I
were purraying
that there would be
someone out there
to let her in…
because we couldn’t…
…it’s because of me…
and on the last day…
one of the volunteers said…
“I’ll take her home with me…”
because she felt so sorry for
the Lady Cat…
That was a relief…
we were so
T H A N K F U L
that the Lady Cat
found her furrever home…
…after all…
and it makes me realize…
how lucky I am…
to have a furrever home…
with Granny and Grandpaw…
who adopted me too…
…in a way…
…so I’m
T H A N K F U L
for that too…
…and what I have
I wish for everybody else too…
…everyone deserves
a home…
a bed to sleep in…
…on…under…next to…
…whatever…
drink…eat…treats…
and a loving (furr)family…
there are a lot of animals…
that are waiting
for a furrever home…
…we support the vision
of a no-kill-polici…
…but there are still
shelters who are not…
…so how about
to open your heart
and make someone
HAPPY
and
T H A N K F U L
…who is waiting a long time
just for
someone like…
…YOU…
…and enjoy what you
can give each other…
