there’s the Swan Lake…
look how beautifully
they dance
in succession…
then The Swan is sticking her neck out…
for the last time…
as the angels arrive…
to bring her home…
to the Sun…

do you hear that applaws…
that’s from the audience…
and Catweazle backstage…
one last bow…
and the crowd
leave the chamber…
let’s see if they’re really gone
before it starts all over again…
