Hi (Furry)furriends ❤
See these beautiful white flowers…
I was guarding them…
since they have been planted…
and look how they have become…
after a daily slug invasion…
these are they now…
…both of them…
…really poor, huh🙀…
Granny put them in a pot
and with some Healing Pawkisses…
and a lot of cocao mulch…
they started to grow again…
…now Granny and I
have to get up at Binky time YEAH…
in the very early morning…
to collect them…
and bring them to another place…
where they can get recycled
by the birdies
and other creatures
that like to consume them…
…like in the front garden…😸
before that…
I have to make sure
that my nails are sharp enough…
to catch them…
as you might know…
that those slimy sluggs
could slug right through your paws…
…with all its consequences…
enough talking my furriends…
duty is calling…
so we go straight into the artclass…
I used LunaPic…like always…
and used the Nouveau Art filter…
…made it sticky
with a taped border this time…
so we know for sure
that no slug will escape from this one…
and I have to say…
…they look even better
with a double filter…
in a Slucasso…
and a Delauny for myself…
because I can never stop
once I begin…

we’re having the temperatures rising
until 29°Celsius today…
YEAH!
Let the sunshine in😎and

Oh I love your artwork, Binky! You look beautiful, like Tiffany glassware! The snails hmm..still undecided!! 😸💕xxx

Treats are good food for slugs, birds and Sir Baldrick, the hedgehog, more than for cats 😂😋
Maybe, I must change their diet 😀🤣
Happy Tuesday 💕

Ew! I hate slugs. That’s one part of gardening TW doesn’t miss. She hated worms too even though they’re supposed to be good for the soil.
Jun 01, 2018 @ 09:53:39
They distroy everything, CK, but through our purrseverance they have been reduced to a few per day and less damage 😀 Pawkisses 🙂 ❤
May 28, 2018 @ 02:09:35
Those slugs sure look interesting. Mom says she does NOT miss slug picking or catching! You art is spectacular! I oOVE it and I also love how you managed to make the slugs look good!

May 27, 2018 @ 02:53:21
Beautiful art, except for the icky slug one. They really did a number on the poor flowers. You look beautiful as always. XO
May 29, 2018 @ 10:38:09
Thanks, miss Ellen 🙂 There was no more slug in the garden this morning, so I think we are the survivors 😀 Pawkisses 🙂 ❤

My mommy has a green thumb when it comes to indoor plants but she tried to grow tomatoes last year on the deck only to find slugs all over the place! She got out salt and hoped it would help but she was coughing and sneezing from the tomatoes also. Is there a totally enclosed way to grow delicious homegrown tomatoes without dealing with pests or allergens?
If you Know any secrets, please let me know. FRESH TOMATOES are the bomb but I can’t grow them myself without assistance.
Thank you
May 29, 2018 @ 10:35:33
Oh, Patzy and Miss Juliea, we never kill slugs or other creatures. Putting salt is a very painful death to the slugs, and they will come back, the same when you put beer in your garden to get rid of them. It’s less painful, because they’re drowning while they’re drunk, but they will come back in the end…it’s horrible to see also. The only way to get rid of them is to put them at least 20 meter from your house, where they can do their job, whatever it is. Mostly they will be eaten by birdies and hedgehogs and other creatures. Live and let live, that’s our motto 🙂
Patzy, when your mom is allergic to the plant of tomatoes, than she can better avoid it, or try to put on garden gloves and see how that works. Our experience is that we get used to it in the end and that the sneezing will get over, but of course that’s not with everyone. You can also try the MIR method (click on the MIR badge on the right side of my bloggie and find the article).
We use natural remedies against pests, like Teatree and Crab Apple of Bach Remedies and a daily dose of Healing Pawkisses, until the plant feels better. I hope this was clear for you, Patzy and miss Juliea. We sure hope you can grow your own tomatoes in no time. They are the best! Good Luck Pawkisses 🙂 ❤

Great advice. Today at work I tried to save a spider by having him/her crawl onto a piece of paper but it wouldn’t stay still. So then I tried to scoot it along to the office door instead of chucking it out a window. But he got tired about halfway to the door and just stopped. That is until I tried to scoop him on paper again. We both gave up eventually.
Then a female co-worker freaked because it was on her desk and called for one of the males here so he was happy to kill it. I would have just let him go outside. Spiders are good and eat other bugs like fleas. I tried to save him but was too late.
Jun 01, 2018 @ 21:05:43
You did your best for the spider, miss Julea, not everyone is ready to see the spider as a living creature. Thank you for trying❤Extra Pawkiss🐾😚😻
May 30, 2018 @ 04:04:03
Actually it’s the smell of the tomato plant that she is allergic too. She says it smells too green. I think we need to plant it a bit away from the house and not on the front porch. She does love fresh home grown tomatoes but she doesn’t have a lot of places to grow them where they will get enough sun.
Jun 01, 2018 @ 21:14:34
MOL…they have a different kind of odour and it feels sticky too😹Our plant of two years ago stood in more than half shadow and was really huge with a big harvest😹Pawkiss🐾😚😻
May 27, 2018 @ 02:07:59
You even make the slugs look good, Binky.
Shoko
May 29, 2018 @ 09:48:51
Thank you, Shoko 🙂 I think they didn’t like it, Shoko, they’re all gone now…MOL 😀 Pawkisses 🙂 ❤
May 26, 2018 @ 23:45:41
Those slugs deserve to be some place else, Binky. Away from your pretty flowers. Beautiful art, too!
May 29, 2018 @ 09:41:21
Thank you, Wally, Ernie and Zoey 🙂 They have a big place just around the corner, where they can do their job 😀 Pawkisses 🙂 ❤
May 26, 2018 @ 21:39:40
Those slugs and snails are giving Mom and me the heebie-jeebies. We don’t like the looks of them.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
May 29, 2018 @ 09:39:50
MOL…the nacked ones are a little yikes, Cupcake, but the others who carry their houses, are lovely, but Granny never holds them without her garden gloves. Grandpaw does…so he’s the heebie-jeebie in this matter….MOL 😀 Pawkisses 🙂 ❤
May 26, 2018 @ 21:02:12
Slugs are so gross. Gathering them to be recycle them is a great idea. I sometimes snip them in half and let other slugs come to do cleanup and keep the chain going.

May 29, 2018 @ 09:36:38
OMC noooo…Yael, that’s horrible. Poor sluggies 😦 We never kill them, we only collect them and bring them at least 20 meters from the house, so they can do their thing somewhere else. Live and let live, that’s our motto. Pawkisses 🙂 ❤
May 26, 2018 @ 20:54:05

It is warm indeed, your garden looks just so lovely. Obviously those plants were a delicacy for slugs….. Lucky I don’t have that many slugs in my garden, my strawberries look healthy. They need a lot of water in this weather. enjoy the weekend!

Summer is here 😃
And slugs are seeking for food and water: to avoid my flowers to be eaten I put mixed treats in a corner, they love them more than my roses 😛
Beautiful garden, lovely Binky 😍
Happy Caturday 💕

May 29, 2018 @ 08:31:43
MOL…when we lived in our former house we did that too, Sid, they also ate my food and we had huge slugs…almost as big as myself…well, a little smaller, but…MOL 😀 I think your slugs having a good time at your place with all the treats 😀 Pawkisses 🙂 ❤
Jun 02, 2018 @ 03:57:20
What kind of treats? Dry or canned cat food? Cheese? Bits of lunch meat or some fruits like apple pieces or grapes or vegetables such as lettuce, etc.? What do I put out and how far away from the plants? I hated killing them. I would much rather lure them away. Also, remember I am an American and only can process mikes, feet and inches. Thank you in advance for your help!
Jun 05, 2018 @ 11:11:37
You can give them your food, Patzy, we know they like it very much. They really eat everything, they like the most rotten things…yikes… but maybe Sid has more information for you 😉 Pawkisses 🙂 ❤
Jun 05, 2018 @ 20:36:24
Hi 😀
I give my slugs Purina Friskies Beaf and Chicken with Vegetables dried treats for Cats 😊
But sometimes, also the leftovers of gravy canned food. In a corner of my garden near a little stone wall. Slugs like beer, too. But they die if they drink it. Of course, it is a way to attract them 😁
Ciao
Sid
