for the mewsic, Granny…
with this week’s Theme:
65th anniversary of the Eurovision Song Contest
created by this month’s honorary co-host
John of The sound of one hand typing…
I have to admit that we Granny liked to watch it
every year…
she even stayed at home for it
because it was such an exciting event…
but the older she got
the more she watched it occasionally
or not at all…
like last Caturday…
it was awful…
we only had seen the finals
…Thank Cat!…
but that was more than enough…
Purrsonally we found the other Rock Band
much better
than the winning one…
although we would rather have seen
The Rolling Stones or Metallica
or our favourite Cure…
Unfortunately they weren’t in it…
so we had to deal with
what we got…
and besides…
Granny’s sister was here…
to sit visit for the weekend…
and they did more talking…
than watching…
Anyways…
I have fo finish my paws
before I can
switch on the mewsic…
first things always come first…
no matter what…
now let’s hit the dance floor…
with my collection of

that we still hear on the radio sometimes…

Oh my….we’ve never seen Eurovision either but I bet your favorite songs were better than the ones other people THINK are the best. It’s often that way – it sure is here !! I do believe you must have the cleanest paws in the universe – I do a lot of paw cleaning myself. Thankfully I keep myself in good shape and have escaped the dreaded BATH so far in my five years!

Yes, Rolling Stones and Metallica would be much better to watch. I haven’t watches Eurovision for years. Everyone votes for their neighbouring countries, not who is best. We won’t mention the UK entry though!

Binky, as a native of the United States, I can hang my head in shame because so few Americans have heard of Eurovision. I had but only because in my music blogging. I did watch most of the finals this year – finally we were able to see this on a streaming channel this year. Finally! We don’t get exposed to it on the radio, either, although portions of Eres Tu sounded so familiar – sure enough, this group had an English Language adaptation (not a straight translation of the Spanish lyrics) of the song called Touch the Wind, in either 1973 or 1974. Apart from that, my favorite of your selections was Secret Garden. This theme was such an education for this American.
