Hi (Furry)furriends🐱

…Granny…
I’m tired of watching
bird tv live…

…yeah…
…me too…

…you see…
the little magpie baby
had to learn to fly…

and he flew in the big tree…
that is standing in front of our house…
from there

mother magpie
brought him food…

then she flew down
and brought him a branch…

that he had to carry
for hours…
…as it seems…

…this went on and on and on…
and we ran from inside of the house
into our garden
and from our garden
into the house…

and one time he flew away
and the mama called him back…
…and we chattered along with her…😹
to make sure
that he would fly back
to the tall tree asap…

have you any idea
how exhausting this was…
but
we’re very
T H A N K F U L
that we can watch
bird tv live
…effurry day now…

and that reminds us
that we have to do a poem
for our furriends
Angel Sammy and Teddy
on this picture…

“OMC
I don’t want to see
all the people
that staring at me
as if they neffurr saw
a furry one before
I wish they looked
at another scene
so I don’t have to hide
the beauty of my side
maybe it’s time
to take off my paw
and stare right back
at who they are
so better beware
of the stare
of an ice-bear
who can follow you
anywhere.”

Isn’t it lovely to watch bird TV and learn how they are parents and be very patient. And it is relaxing too 🙂 ♥

We hope you have a nice nap, Peachy and Faye. How nice of you to chatter along with the Magpie Mom for the baby to fly back from the tree.

So industrious, those magpies!
Can understand why their activities would tire out any watching cats.
Cats are best at lazing around, and being curious about stuff that they should be leaving alone.
Cute poem, thanks!

Bird watching is more fun than Bird TV. I love the poem. Hugs!😻

Good poem….and sweet birdie! Maybe the branch-carrying made him stronger. A bit young for calisthenics, non?

Oh! An Ekster family! How fun to watch them up close and live! We don’t have them here, but I have seen them when we were in hubbys family home in Washington DC.
That was a great poem, too! Mr Bear is a wee bit shy, MOL!

Great job with today’s poetry. I can see that watching bird TV live could be all that exhausting following those birdies from one lace to another.
Apr 25, 2026 @ 02:25:04
Bird TV is great, but sometimes you want something different. Your poem is different and unique and I liked it.
Apr 25, 2026 @ 01:05:43
That does sound tiring! You need a DVR so you can rest 🙂

That is wonderful Bird-TV sweeties and a really fun poem too. Thanks for joining Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

Live Bird tv is fun. Good job on the poem. XO

Chatting with birds is fun. And much friendlier than chasing them …or worse.
Sloppy kisses,

Charlee: “Tired of watching Bird TV? How is that even possible?”Oona: “Oona understands. Perhaps you should switch to Lizard TV for a little while? Do you have Lizard TV there?”
Apr 24, 2026 @ 15:06:37
Oh we sure enjoyed the description of Mom Magpie teaching Baby some things about how useful branches are and where to find food and fly not too far to stay safe…..! Meanwhile you two have a wonderful tree of your own to lie down in and watch the wonderful things happening in your yard – then maybe take a nap and get ready for more fun. Life is pretty wonderful isn’t it????
Hugs, Teddy and Mom Pam

It is much better to be able to watch live Bird TV!. That is a very good poem about the shy polar bear!

Peachy and Faye, I had always read and heard of Magpies all my life but I never saw one until I lived in Europe for quite a spell of time. They are BIG! And pretty too, I thought. Seeing European Robins was way different too…same name, but quite different. There is a black bird called Amsel in Germany that looks so soft…his eye is golden. We saw him on the ground often.
