Down on the corner – CCR (1969)

…I’m here in Angel’s Place…

as it was two years ago

that our Auntie Binky left for Furryland…

…last Sunday july 7…

and Granny got a sign from Angel Little Binky

when she opened the computer

last Sunday morning…

and Angel Binky got us also another sign…

…let me first make place

so we can all see it…

…there it is…

she left a beautiful white feather for us

in the garden…

to tell us that she’s still around…

it’s been two years now

and it still feels like yesterday…

…doesn’t it Granny…

We love you furrever

beautiful Lady…💖

and we’re very

T H A N K F U L

that you always let us know

that you’re still around…

…in our hearts…

…so near…💞

Wish you were here – Pink Floyd (1975)

We’re also

T H A N K F U L

that a lot of flowers showed up again

once in a while

when we have a sunny day…

look at them shining in the sun…

and finally the Balloon flower

opened herself

…so we that Granny and Grandpaw

can eat them

…NOT…

they’re eatable

but Granny thinks they’re to beautiful

to eat…

now let’s tell that to the other species🙈

and we’re

T H A N K F U L

for the new born Lady Bugs…

they’re hatching in our nip this year…

to bad that they’re not so much this year

to eat all the lice…

that we have now in our garden

…almost in effurry colour…

but at least we have less snails

and slugs now…

…see…

it’s not as filled as before🐌🐌

but although they are fewer

they still have a good appetite

to eat our plants

…sigh…

…come Stippie…

we have to do our fill ins

for our furriends now…

1. It would be nice to be a lion for a day. I know I have it all in me, but when I’m a lion, Granny isn’t allowed to keep me, so better I stay lioncat🦁

It would be nice to be a birdie for a day. I could fly around the neighborhood to see what’s going on outside of our garden. I only hope I change to my own self, before I land back in our garden, so I don’t end in the claws of that big lion🐦

It would be nice to be my younger self again for a day, but like who I am now. I was to shy, insecure, anxious and to serious when I was young, so I couldn’t live my life the fullest. I would have so much more freedom in myself to be myself and do the things that I love, instead of surpressing it. On the other hand, there’s a time for everything, and it seems that my time had to come later in life, because without it, I wouldn’t have come so far👸😁

2. The older I get, the more I appreciate my family. I did that from the beginning, and my Granny is still my effurrything, but I tolerate Grandpaw now too, because I know that I always will be her number one…MOL😹

The older I get, the more I appreciate my safe haven…eh…garden. I am so happy now here, that I don’t even want to look what’s going on outside of it. I love to watch the birdies, sometimes I’m to enthusiastic and jump up in the tree, but with Granny around, I’m out immediately🌳

The older I get, the more I appreciate my life and everything that I have accomplished. I always missed something in my life, life wasn’t good enough, I wasn’t good enough…but that was all in my head, the real me is good enough. So now that it is all out of my head, I appreciate my life in every way💗

3. I like to decorate my playground, which is in and outside the house, with mousies, butterflies, laces and once in a while, a hairball🙈I collect laces and bring them through the whole house, so that Granny doesn’t forget to play with me…MOL😹

I like to decorate my playground, which is also in and outside the house, with birdies, laces and catnip. Especially the nip would be hanging effurrywhere, so I can be nipped the whole day…and night…MOL…Granny also plays with me and Peachy, with a branch of nip, outside in the garden…that’s the best playtime of the day🌿

I like to decorate the living room and kitchen with angels, cats, butterflies and crystals. Especially when it is Christmas, our house is full of angels that you can see… and feel😉

4. You’ll often find me on MY kitchen counter😸Of course it depends where Granny is and what she’s doing in the kitchen. We’re not allowed on it when she makes dinner, at least not on the right side😺

You’ll often find me too on MY kitchen counter😸I like to stay near to Granny and when she eats, we sometimes like to eat at…eh…on the counter too😹

You’ll often find me cat hair on my kitchen counter. I still haven’t found out yet where that is coming from🤔😂

…that’s enough…

now we only have to do our poem

for Angel Sammy and Teddy

and then we have caught up

a whole week behind…

which was possible

on this extremely rainy day

…again…

“Look and see

that grandpaw and me

he still feels fine

while we’re driving in one line

he on his scooter

and I’m on mine

still having fun together

in good and bad weather

this is how it once begun

now I’m a champion number one

driving in my racing car

while Grandpaw is waiting for me

with a big sigar

and a candy bar.”

It’s all in the Nip

Hi (furry)furriends💗

Granny

are you sure you have to cut the nip…

it’s a purrfect place to have some shadow

…for me…

and there are still bees in it…

*whispurrs*

and birdies up there…

so it’s not necessary at this point

…is it…

Granny says it is Stippie…

she had to cut it…

because the flowers have finished flowering…

so no one wanted to get in them anymore…

only in a few…

do you smell the…err… delciousness…

don’t stick your nose in to far Stippie…

there are still Lady Bugs’ babies inside…

and we don’t want them to lose now…

with a garden full of lice…

and watch out for the slugs…

that hanging in there…

because Granny put a Homeopathic Remedy

on the other plants

so they don’t want to go there anymore…

but then they chosed our catnip

…for the first time in all the years

that it’s standing here…

and now they don’t want to get out it anymore…😹

…well…

who can blame them

they must feel the sensation as much

as we do

…don’t they…

Hey Stippie when you’re ready nipping…

I can do a poem for our furriends

Angel Sammy and Teddy…

…on this picture…

“Come let’s dance

to keep us warm

lay your paws inside my arm

and go with the flow

quick quick slow

left right left

there we go

effurrything helps

against the cold

now lets do it

three times in a row

and let’s dance away the ice floe

and when your paws get wet

we’re drifting away instead

because that’s the best way to show

how we can manage not only the cold

but also how we survive

on our own boat of ice

and we all like that

because it’s very nice.”

…STOP…

…don’t leave yet…

we still have to do

…an-after-nip-Selfie…

…of ourSelfies…

AND

our artwork…

…nipped as well…😸😸

We’re

T H A N K F U L

for a huge crob of nip…

and Granny is

T H A N K F U L

that she could save

the one and only butterfly

from Peachy’s claws…

he was dragging her inside

to show it

so Granny asked

if it was a purrezzie for her

…and it was…

after a few in and outings

he finally gave it to her

so Granny could bring her outside

to the front garden…

but when she put her on the butterfly bush

she flew back towards Granny

and settled down on her arm…

then Granny put her again on the butterfly bush…

and she flew towards her again

and settled down on her heart…

that was the greatest

T H A N K F U L

that Granny experienced effurr

and she put her hands over the little butterfly

grabbed her and opened her hands

and said

now show me if you still can fly

with a broken wing

and then she flew away…

leaving Granny behind with a big smile😻

Happy Tuesday

Hi (Furry)furriends💗

Hey Stippie…

do you know what day it is…

Granny and Grandpaw had to get up early

this morning…

and we got our food

after Grandpaw left for work…

instead of the other way around…

so I suppose it’s Tuesday…

why?

just wanted to know if you knew…😸

…well..

I also know we have a lot to do today…

like searching for a mousie

you mean…

yeah…

among other things…

you said that right, Peachy…

but before we begin with our fill ins…

we have to be sure

that the coast is clear…

from that little neighborhood kitty

that sprayed the front garden

to make it his…

…well…

we hissed back…

and now Stippie marks his territory too🙈

Thank Cat Granny petted the little one

so that we have more confidence

when he approaches us…

that doesn’t mean

that I don’t mark my territory anymore…

…once in a while…🙊

I guess that leads me to the first question of the fill-ins…

1. My summer bucket list includes marking my territory once in a while, observing birdies a lot and taking countless naps💤which I’m great at😸

My summer bucket list includes finding Nemo mousies, playing with mousies and sit with Granny, when I need a break. I’m hunting all day and I caught three mousies (shrews) yesterday and paw them all over to Granny. She sets them free in the front garden, and I search for them again, because I forgot that I pawed them over😹

My summer bucket list includes taking a break from all the work in the garden, trying to read more and go cycling again. The weather didn’t allow me to get on my bike this year, not for a long distance anyway, so I can’t wait until the sun comes out again to get on my bike and cycling away🚲

2. Birdies, even if Granny had a lot birdies in the past, and (dead) creatures are things you will never find in my home. Granny is real quick to clear them away…with my help of course😸

Stray mousies and my mousies are things you will never find in my home…Granny sets them all free immediatly🙈

A personal scale and fake things, like false nails, eyelashes and hair extensions are things you will never find in my home. Not that I don’t like it on other people, but I like them natural and besides my nails were as long as the false nails I see around here, until my menopause, then everything changed. I remember when we were on holidays in Turkey, about ten years ago, a seller asked me to come inside for fake nails and extensions, so my hubby said ‘for her?’ and showed my hair, longer than my butt, and my nails with black nail polish, and the boy was looking once, twice and couldn’t believe it and he had to pull on my hair and my nails to see if it was real…LOL…those were the days huh…😄

3. I’m good at keeping my…self very tidy. Wherever I have been in the garden, I always come home spic and span, that you hardly can’t see that I have been outside, only sometimes something’s hanging on my paws, like a wet leaf or so, but besides that I’m still as white as snow…or as Snow White⛄

I’m good at keeping my fur and nails very tidy. After a whole day hunting, I settle down on the scratcher and wash myself for at least an hour and my nails get extra attention, because they can be very dirty, and when I’m ready, I turn over for a good night of sleep💤💤

I’m good at keeping my house very tidy. Cleaning works like therapy for me and I like the after pawty, that’s such a good feeling of satisfaction, that I want to start it all over again…well…actually not really😁

4. I can’t eat without making a mess. I like to take my food out of the bowl and throw it on the floor and eat it, or Granny has to feed me by hand or with a spoon, then it falls all off the spoon or hand. I pick my water with my own paws, in that case effurrything stays clean, also my paws🐾

I can’t poopeepoo without making a mess. When I scoop, I make sure that effurrything around is also covered, that means, also the ground🙈

I can’t make pancakes without making a mess. One way or another, my counter and stove are filled with all the ingredients, before they have reached the frying pan. Wish me luck because my child and grandchildren coming this evening for dinner…guess what’s on the menu…Farmers Pancakes🙈

…Granny…

don’t forget our photo fails…

they’re to beautiful…

with all the flying birds in it…

you can see them right…

they’re in effurry picture…

…see…

now look that falcon…

or buzzard…

he wanted to steal the eggs or babies

of the crows…or magpies…

so Granny made pictures

of the chase of the birds…

so now you know the story you can see them…

…right…

😺Have a Happy Tuesday my furriends😺

Expurrts of the invasion

Hi (Furry)furriends💗

…Rise and Shine…

Stippie…

it’s finally Summer…

and since she came to our Country

we had to do a lot again

in the garden…

…first we started with our Pear tree…

you won’t believe what the ants did…

they laid their eggs

in effurry part of our Pear tree…

and not just a few…

we found big, huge, small…

in short

an overdose of each kind of eggs…🙈

so we had to empty it all out…

and gave them a furresh dive

into the …err…sea…

but because all the roots of the tree

were full of eggs too

Granny had a lot of work

to get them clean again…

she didn’t want to lose her Pear tree

that she raised from when she was

just a little girl ♪♫♪…tree…

and so beautiful in bloom this year…

that we thought

she will finally give us some eggs…err…pears…

but unfortunately the ants

…and not to forget

the weather…

…had other plans fot her…

so now Granny is trying effurrything

to keep her safe and alife…

like Apple…once our appletree…

now in the hands of the ants and the lice too…

it was getting even worse

because effurrything that Granny did

lead to nothing…

because the rain didn’t stop

and the ants either…

and when it finally got better

and the leaves started to bloom properly again

…after the daily care…

all the new branches fell off the tree…

and so we’re back from where we started…

she looks better now…

but there’s still a lot daily work to do

because the ants are still busy

milking the few lices that are still in it…

so we have to be very observant

to take action immediately

so that the lice don’t multiply again…

and in that case

…more ants…

and despite how terrible Apple is feeling

she did her best to give a few new born apples…

…see…

…she was full in bloom before this all started…

and so sad that Granny had to take them away from her

but she told her

that she needs all her strenghts now

to get better…

and that she can try again next year…

it’s really hard work out here…

we spend hours in the garden to fix these problems…

…without poisoned stuff…

we know that we can do it without it…

it only takes a little a lot more time

and thus more patience…

but it’s not all doom and gloom…

look at this…

the clematis is full in bloom now…

without creatures that cling to her…

and we hung the curtains…

because it’s finally hot out here…

…almost 38℃ (102F) in the garden…

…the whole week…

…and we all love it…

…except Grandpaw…

we also had ONE strawberry…

and after we ate it

she now has two in the making…🍓

and we had only ONE raspberry

…none of the other plants didn’t grew well enough…

but Summer isn’t over yet

so maybe there’s hope for more…

and look at our French Geranium…

…nice huh…

and she’s doing well…

she keeps her eyes on effurrything😸

and our Hypericum is full in bloom too…

to attrack the one and only Bumble Bee this year…

not really…

there were two more yesterday morning…

but far too little this year…

we hope they’ll come later this week…

and the Butterflies too…

because we only had two of them

…so far…

and we need more activity here outside

because otherwise Granny has to entertain us

for the rest of Summer…😹

and now look

who’s having a Spa…

talking about a Spa…

we were a guest teaser

in last week’s teaser

with a picture of Spa Belgium…

click on the badge if you like to see it…

now it’s time for this week’s poem

for our furriends

Angel Sammy and Teddy…

on this picture

“There’s a whole invasion

of countless ants in nation

fixated on just one goal

milking lice to rock and roll

the trees have to pay the price

for the honey filled lice

sugared and sweet

like it was a treat

in this Summer heat

and if we weren’t there

taking care

of our beloved trees

and with our expertise

to bring them to their knees

they still would hanging around

piled together like a crowd

without making any sound

just a bunch of ants and lice

on their way to Paradise.”

We’re

T H A N K F U L

that we have it all under control

…now…

but it sure needs daily care…

…and with a little magic touch…🧙‍♀️

it will all work out fine

in the end…

look who’s taking care of her youngster too…

✨that’s magic huh✨
