Hi (Furry)furriends,

It’s our monthly Shopping time again…

Shoppingoct15

Bacon and Fozziemum

Shoppingoct15

and the first thing I did..

Shoppingoct15

when I was in our new house…

Shoppingoct15

was looking for my…

Shoppingoct15

shopping bag..

Shoppingoct15

No, Granny, not this one…

Shoppingoct15

you know…

Shoppingoct15

the other one…

Shoppingoct15

that matches with my harness

and

that you always take with you…

Shoppingoct15

Yes, that one I meant….

Shoppingoct15

Now people can see

how necessary it is

to adopt

and save a life 🙂

Shoppingoct15

Okay,

let’s hit the road again

and let’s go and find me a shop

in the neighbourhood….

Next:

find the ingredients

for the meal:

  • Risottorice Euro 0,99 > cook it in 800 ml vegetable stock in a wok.
  • 1 pumpkin 1,99 > cut in small pieces, sprinkle with olive oil and put it in the oven on 180 degrees and add
  • Chestnut mushrooms 1,49 > cut it in pieces and add
  • an onion > chopped.  When everthing is soft you can add it with the Risotto and let it cook until the water is completely gone. Then you can add
  • parsley and
  • Parmesan cheese and enjoy your dinner. Granny and Grandpaw loved it, so did my Auntie. I on the other hand, prefurred my tuna 😉

(NB. all credits for the meal go to: missnatural.nl )

Granny’s masterpiece

For today’s gluten free pizza we need:

1 cauliflower: Euro 1,69 in shop A and 0,75 eurocent in shop B. http://nl.123rf.com/ thank you

3 eggs: euro 1,49 in shop A and 1,29 euro in shop B.

http://nl.123rf.com/ thank you

Crumbs of goat cheese: Euro 2,80 in shop A and 1,99 in shop B.

http://nl.123rf.com/ thank youpresident

Put greaseproof paper (I don’t know the exactly English word for it, it’s baking paper that you put in the oven) on a baking plate. Oven on 180 degrees. I’m not sure if this is the best idea, because the food doesn’t come off easily, when it’s ready, so we prefer it without the paper.

Mix the cauliflower in a kitchenmachine until it looks like rice and put it in a bowl and add the eggs and the crumbs of goat cheese (we recommend 6 slices or less, but that depends on your taste) and mix it by hand.

Then put everything on the baking plate and spread the mix over it. After that you put it in the oven during a minute or 10, sometimes even longer, untill it is getting harder. Don’t worry when the pizza dough doesn’t get hard…Granny’s never does either… 😀

When it’s ready, we put tomato paste on it. We use the nature sause, but we couldn’t find it, so we choose the GrandÍtalia Sugo Traditionale, that’s a good one too 🙂 It cost euro 1,49 in shop B and 1,92 euro in shop A.

 grand italia

Then you put an onion, paprika, champignons, tomatoes and some olives on it, or other leftovers in the refrigerator

and you have a purrfect….

or mixed up….gluten free PIZZA.

Shopping

I think I have earned

a treat now…

and an extra tummy rub…

I’m still open…. 😀

shoppingfix1

1. The price we pay for heating/ventilation. Our temperature is always on 20,5 degrees C (= 68,9 F), because Granny can’t handle anything above it anymore, since she’s old  in her midlife’s. Grandpa and I are sitting nearby the heater, (actually I’m the only one who is lying on it, because there is only room for one 😉 because we think it’s to cold, but we do anything to not trigger comfort the Lady 😀 We pay for power and heat about 130 Euro a month and when we’re lucky, we don’t have to pay extra after one year. This year we weren’t lucky and had to pay almost 300 Euro extra 😦

2. Meat. We don’t know what fajita beef is, but it looks like normal beef in slices, so we take Nature Beef instead and cut it in pieces…I can help Granny with that very easily…. that costs about 6 Euro for 240 grams.

3. Vegetables. A head of cabbage costs 99 eurocents and we love Chinese cabbage with rice or quinoa. It’s very healthy and good for the stomach and heart and when you have inflammation of joints 🙂

4. Random item. Pancakes, Granny loves them…and Grandpa has to eat them 😀 She only bakes them when my two-feet siblings come to visit and they eat them with and without cheese and apple with pears syrup…*licks paws*.

5. Homemade Dish.

1 Chinese cabbage spitskool

one or two pieces of garlic knoflook

two eschalots (or unions) sjalot1/2 or 1 teaspoon of caraway seed kummeloil

Stir frye garlic and eschalots in oil, after cutting both of them in little pieces, then add the sliced cabbage and add the caraway seed. You can add pepper if you like it, to make it spicy, but we prefer to add bouquet garni with some water and/or 400 milligram coconut milk. You can add stir fried tofu or minced meat and serve it with rice or quinoa. It’s one of Granny’s favorite recipes and all that have come to dinner once, always come back…*mumbles* ..that’s why we don’t eat it anymore..MOL 😀 ..Just kidding 😀 The whole dinner costs about 6 euro for three persons, when you do it with rice, because Quinoa is more expensive.

shopping

Well, my paws are clean now…

leaving you with a very pampering

and polishing up video

for the weekend… 😉

We will come later to check on your bloggies,

we have to do more shopping today for the weekend 🙂

Olives: Granny and Grandpa love them, they eat it almost daily. Green and Black olives costs 0.59 euro for 240 grams.

Light bulbs: they cost about 3.99 euro and give 70watt light.

Air Spray: costs about 0.99 to 3.99 euro. We don’t use them, Granny aways uses cheap parfume in the toilet and in the rooms she uses essential oil.

Lettuce: the crobs are very small and expensive this time of year, about 0.89 eurocents. Usually they cost about 0.49 eurocents.

Random item of your choice:

Lorenz-Erdnuss-Locken-Classic-Erdnussflips-250-gGranny eats them every Furriday, since she was a little girl. I think it’s not only nostalgia, but also addiction 😀 They cost about 1.69 euro, but she also likes the cheaper kind of 0.59 eurocent.
