Well, the workers have finally left..

untill tomorrow…

so we finally can do some

Shopping for my furriends

Okay,

this must be the good direction to the shop…

YEP..and these are the Prices of the Netherlands:

– APPLES: 1.5 kg, that’s about 8 Granny Smiths for Euro 3,49. We also like Pink Lady’s, but since they’re so expensive, Euro 2,99 for four apples, we only buy them when they are on sale 🙂

– Strawberries: These are very expensive in the Netherlands. 500 grams cost now Euro 3,49 and when they’re on sale you have two for the same price. You can buy them a little cheaper here too, but then they are really small..almost like currants, but then a little bigger…. 😉 So no strawberries in Granny’s bag, when they’re not on sale 😀

– Carrots: a bunch of carrots cost Euro 0,99, so we eat a lot of carrots….and still need glasses 😀

– Green Beans: 500 grams cost Euro 0,99. When they’re on sale, they cost half price.

– Lettuce: we eat lettuce daily. Granny tried to plant it in her kitchen garden, but since the froggies live there too and the snails also eating of it..all….she has to buy it again. A head cost Euro 0,69. We eat it daily and all kind of sorts. Ruccola is one of her favorites, that cost Euro 1,29 for 75 grams.

– Random fruit of your choice: raspberries. We love raspberries…but they are so expensive 😦 Euro 2,69 for 150 grams…and never on sale 😦

Sometimes she buys them on the market for Euro 1,50, but then they are so mouldy that you can throw them away when you are home.

– Random Vegetable of your choice: Oh, this is so difficult to chose. We’re eating vegetarian and chose the vegetables at the moment when Granny gets the YES feeling of a vegetable at that moment. She likes almost everything, but one of her favorites is pepper. So we eat a lot of pepper during the week…. raw and stir-frying.

That was a lot of shopping,

All that shopping makes my belly rumble..

so I have to fill it now…

so does Granny 😉

Long time no see…MOL…

It’s Shopping time again

with our furriends

Bacon and Fozziemum

but because it’s raining cats and dogs again…

I did ask my twofeet brothers and sister

to do the shopping for me today…

and they did…

~~after they blackmaild me to pay them off~~

Isn’t that sweet 😀

So here are the prices of the Netherlands:

– Water: 6 bottles of 0.5 l cost Euro 1.67 . We don’t have to buy water, our tap water is drinkable, so we fill our bottles with it.

– Bath soap: 2 soapies for Euro 1.98 of Unicura.

– Deodorant: Granny buys all kind of fragrants, with lovely, positive ~~vibes~~ names. She has a fragrant for every day and it depends on her mood, which fragrant she’ll use that day. They cost from Euro 2,09 to Euro 3,48, but she only buys them when they’re on sale, then they cost only 1 Euro 🙂

– Laudry Detergent: We use Ariel and for 18 washes we pay about Euro 6,99…but Granny is Granny..she waits untill the liquid is on sale, and then she pays for 36 washes the same price 😀

–Random Item : Granny and Grandpa like dark chocolate. The darker the better. Fairtrade chocolate cost Euro 1,04 for 0.75 grams and Granny has to restrain herself not to eat it all at once and she has to share it with Grandpa. She’s a choc’aholic… but don’t tell her I’ve told you 😀

Today it’s time to go shopping

again,

with our furriends

Bacon and Fozzie,

who invented this pawsome

Shopping around the world Event…..

but because the temperature

might be rising up to 41 degrees again..

probably without sun..

as usual in our country 😦

I have to hurry up

before I melt down

like a micecream again…

So here we are…

So, Here are ~~finally~~ the Prices of the Netherlands:

Toilet paper Basic House brand 3 layer soft, bloomy (with flowers 😉 8 rolls Euro 2,39.

Regular Mince 300 grams Euro 1,85. We don’t know exactly what regular mince is. This is the price of beef mince. The half beef and …to Bacon: “please look away for a moment my furriend”….half pig mince is Euro 2,50 for 500 grams. Granny only buys the organic mince for Grandpa, because she doesn’t eat this. The organic variant is Euro 3,50 per 400 grams.

Store bought pizza with cheese and tomatoes housebrand Euro 1,10, brand Euro 2,31. Granny is making her own glutenfree pizza, since she ~~can’t resist~~ has to watch after her belly…and mine 😉

Package of hot…. dogs?.. MOL… what happened with the chicks or cats… 😀 Okay, back to serious. We don’t have them in packages and we eat only the vegetarian type and that costs Euro 2,29 for 5 Hot dogs. In a can they cost Euro 1,98 for 6 dogs.

Package of bacon …don’t worry, this is not with capital B… 😉 Grandpa likes Schwarzwälder Schinken and that cost Euro 1,89 for 100 grams.

– Price of cable services for one month – what do you get for that price? Euro 27,25 = Am.Dollar 37.10.

Let’s see, we have about 131 HD televison programs…and when we watch, we watch maybe about 4…MOL… 😀

– A 12 ounce box (360 grams) of Cornflakes – we only found a box of 375 grams of Euro 1,55 = Am.Dollar 2.11. We don’t eat this. Granny doesn’t eat gluten and Grandpa eats only organic cruesli, and I eat only the fishy types.

– A 15 ounce package (432 grams) of Oreos or other cream filled cookies – 246 grams of Oreo cost Euro 2,15 = Am.Dollar 2.93. Granny tasted this once, just to know why effurrybody likes it, but she never bought it again 😀

– A 7 ounce bag (225 grams) of Lay’s potato chips. – Euro 1,26 = Dollar 1.72. This is Grandpa’s favorite too 🙂

– 1 pound of real butter.- Euro 3,70 = Dollar 5.04. We buy only organic butter mostly in another shop, where it cost Euro 2,90 = Am.Dollar 3.95, so that’s much cheaper.

– A 6 ounce can of peanuts. – I didn’t find 6 ounces of peanuts, but 235 g unsalted peanuts for Euro 1,07 = Am.Dollar 1,46.

Here we are with the groceries…

well, forget about the cat….

THE PRICES IN THE NETHERLANDS ARE:

– Internet for one month: Euro 20,79, that’s Dollar 28,35.

I think we have to change provider Granny…. we thought this was cheap… 😦

– A pint of Ben & Jerry’s : ~~Euro 4,99…~~this week for sale Euro 3,99, that’s Dollar ~~6,81~~ 5,44.

We usually buy Hertog icecream. That excellent icecream and cost about half Ben&Jerry.

– A six pack of Coca Cola: is about Euro 3,08, that’s Dollar 4,20, but

whatever the price is, we don’t drink this.

– Coffee : We drink mostly Senseo Coffee of Albert Heijn’s Private Brand, 56 pads for Euro 3,79, that’s Dollar 5, 17,

but when there’s a sale item of Douwe Egberts we go for that. Now 2×36 pads for Euro 6,00, that’s Dollar 8,18. We don’t go for this one, that might be obvious…maybe when it’s 3×36 for the same price 😀

– Snickers regular size : Forgot to ask Grandpa, he likes this very much, in the big size of course 😀

They’re about 1 Euro., that’s Dollar 1, 36.

– Grooming: This costs us nothing, since I wash, manicure and pedicure my own fur and paws…
