I was just doing my business…

niffed some nip…

like usual…

and continued my round

until all of a sudden

I heard my name…

I went over to the side

from where it came from…

and saw that everything changed colour…

I looked up and saw…

that the sky turned into red…

and when I looked behind me…

the red spread itself into

something very threatening…

but in a way it looked fascinating…

and I couldn’t get my eyes of it yet…

then I turned my head around

and shivers ran past me…

I saw them all coming…

Granny already had told me

that the veil between our world

and the spirit world is the thinnest tonight…

and now I saw it with my own eyes…

pumpkins lightened up…

and ghosts

came out of nowhere like a Jean Jeanie…

I started to run faster…

and stopped at Angel’s Place…

the place were we could find peace

…usually…

made place for a crowded house

and a lot of false laughter…

like they were having a Pawty

without me…

then at once

it was getting darker

and everything was shaking up…

and in the distance I could see the Moon

coming out of the sky…

it was getting very cold

so I lay myself in a spider’s nest…

to keep me warm and safe….

and in the distance I heard my name again…

“Little Binky, little Pumpkin…

Spooky…”

and I wondered…

am I only dreaming….👻
