Chuckles: oh, so sorry my friend. firecrackers are awful. so glad no one around here lights any on new years. they rather spend all their money on fun stuff like booze. ruff-ruff. 🙂 now, fourth of July is the day we get boom-pop-cracks! well, that looks like a cozy closet and i would have gone there myself. i smell real nice too. he-he. okay, hope it is all quiet now and you can come out to check on your food bowl. that’s important. bye-bye.

I wasn’t so scared either, PLW, but I made myself quite comfortable in the closet, so that I was able to sleep in there, so that was good I guess. I was sleeping on Granny’s lap later in the evening, only at 12 o’clock midnight, I was hiding myself in my new room. Pawkisses for a Happy New Year. Make it a good one 🙂

Shame Little Binky. You have all my sympathy indeed. I do so wish people would start considering pets when they celebrate Christmas and New Year. I like fireworks but without the noise. Here they were going crazy as well but lately Simba doesn’t hear much and because of the cooler in our room, we heard nothing and had a peaceful night. 😀 Wishing you and Granny and wonderful and blessed 2014. 😀 *big hugs* xxx

Thank you, Sonel. Grandpa almost had a fight with our neighbour. People aren’t allowed to throw fireworks earlier then from ten o’clock AM until two o’clock midnight, but he started the day before…he gave the worst example to his sons too with this behaviour…but Grandpa told him not to do this, because it isn’t allowed and for the animals. The neighbour bacame very angry, but the next day he came to apologized. Well, of course Granpa accepted his apology, but there are so many other
stupidpeople who ignore all the warnings and throw fireworks to other people, police and animals. We hope that there will come a law to forbid fireworks in the future, but until then we must have people who stand up for uscatsanimals. I’m glad Simba and you had a peaceful night. You stay in there until you feel safe! Orlando doesn’t mind the fireworks – he is quite brave about those. He has celebrated the first day of the New Year by losing his collar with his big heart shaped name tag on …… first time ever in his whole life! When I held out his old collar he came running and purring to put it on – he obviously missed the weight and the jingle of the bell 🙂 Happy New Year Little Binky and Granny! xoxo
