Little Binky Loves Granny

There is an interesting story behind Binky and Granny from the blog Angels Whisper. We know you will enjoy reading it.

Funny Farmer Felines: Please introduce yourself and your human.

Binky: I’m Little Binky and that’s my Granny *points paw at Granny* I was born somewhere in Autumn of 2002. I’m a cow kitty and I live since late Summer 2008 with my Granny and Grandpaw. I weigh…do you want to know my weight, Funny Farmers? I know since…. recently. Oh, no, you don’t want to know; well, I’ll keep that to myself then.

Funny Farmer Felines: If you have any furry siblings, please introduce them too.

Binky: I have four siblings and one adopted sister, but they are all living at my mother’s place. My eldest brother, who is younger than me, is Bobo, than comes my sister Sphinx, next is brother Pumba and his twin Feline, unfortunately she crossed the Rainbow Bridge last year of FeLV and that was very sad. *wipes tear* Let’s see, and then there is my adopted sister The Nanny.

Funny Farmer Felines: How did you come to live together?

Binky: I was found on an industrial area when I was about three month old and lived almost 5 years with my mother, dad and two-feet-sibling, who is the same age as me, until my mom and dad separated. The three of us were living in a garden house for a while and went over to live at a colleague of my mom for a few weeks, but he had two monster cats that didn’t like me. They chased me every day and then my mom put me in her bedroom with the door locked so they couldn’t hunt me any more, but one day my mom forgot to lock the door when she went to work.

I will spare you the details, Funny Farmers, but I had to run for my life the whole day. It was the most scariest thing that I have ever experienced in my entire life. When Granny heard what has happened, she took me, my mom and two-feet-sibling into her house and we lived there for almost two years. I only had to deal with Granny’s Angel, HER cat *rolls eyes* and the neighbour’s cat, Big Binky, who thought he was living there too. We didn’t become furriends, but we were able to live together.

When Angel went to furryland and my mom and two-feet-sibling got a house of their own, my little two-feet-brother said it was all right with him if I stayed with Granny. Granny said that it was better for me. I’ve had enough stress; it was time for tranquillity. Believe me kitties, I have been having the time of my life ever since. *shakes head* No, I’m not spoiled at all.

Funny Farmer Felines: Tell us a little about the area where you live.

Binky: We live in the most beautiful part of the Netherlands, to be specific in the South of Limburg, near the border triangle of The Netherlands-Germany-Belgium. It’s well known for the Pinkpop festivals. I haven’t seen a bird since we moved here, except that one that was teasing me. I can hear the birdies outside of the garden, many of them, but since we live here, I am not allowed to go out of the garden anymore. That’s because there are living foxes and hawks and all other kinds of predators in the neighbourhood. I can stand up for myself very easily and Grandpaw says so too, but Granny says no, and when Granny says no… Well, you know *lifts shoulders* you don’t have a chance, right? Anyway, I watch Bird TV on my tablet, so I can still recognize them – just in case.

Funny Farmer Felines: Do you have any nicknames?

Binky: OMC, I live on nicknames. Granny calls me…let me translate it first… Puppet, Binkster, Little girl, Dolly, Little Princess, Queen, Possum, Little Bear, Wooly, since a little while Goatey, little lamb, spork, sleeping beauty and so many more.

Funny Farmer Felines: What kind of mischief do you like to get into?

Binky: When I am in the garden I like to walk inside and outside the house freely, but when it is cold Granny closes the door, so I ask constantly if she wants to open the door for me, and when she does, and she does, I ignore her, or run away. Nanananana!

Funny Farmer Felines: What made you open a blog? And do you participate in any blogging events?

Binky: Actually Granny started our blog in 2011 in Dutch in honour of her cat Angel, that’s why my blog address is called Angel’s Whisper and not Binky’s Whisper. Granny says every picture has a story to tell and we wanted to share that in the first place with my two-feet siblings and family, but then other furries and peeps started to read our blog. We continued the blog in English and I made furriends along the way, so now they became a part of our lives that we don’t wanna miss anymore.

I try to participate regularly on four amazing blog hops, namely – Caturday Art of Athena and Marie, Sunday Selfie with The Cat on my head gang, sometimes I Create-with-joy on Wordless Wednesday, and when Granny isn’t to busy I’m being Thankful on Thursday over at Brian’s blog. Once in a while I like to get my tummy rub on Tuesdays over at Katzenworld’s.

Funny Farmer Felines: Do you belong to the Cat Scouts?

Binky: I’m not a Cat Scout. With all that hopping around, I haven’t had time to sign up for it, but I know a few furriends who are scouts.

Funny Farmer Felines: Are you on any social media you would like to share with readers?

Binky: You can find my WordPress blog at angelswhisper2011 and I am on Instagram as Little Binky. Oh, and recently I have my own Facebook account as Binky Ky. I am very mobile as you can see, but it is very hard to keep up on all of them.

Funny Farmer Felines: What is your greatest love and your biggest fear?

Binky: Granny is my greatest love. Oh, I think I misunderstood the question. I love being outside in the garden and guard my own grown nip. My biggest fear is that someone steals my nip, or worse, makes it his own.

Funny Farmer Felines: Does your human foster any furbabies, work or volunteer for a shelter, make pet-related products …?

Binky: Granny is a spiritual animal healer and she was a volunteer catsitter before we moved. Now she feels kind of retired for as long as we are busy with the settling down.

Funny Farmer Felines: How would you describe yourself?

Binky: I am definitely an introvert and a loner. I don’t like strange people around, nor do I tolerate strange kitties around me, or two-feet siblings. I can be bitchy tempered and when I want something, Granny says I can be a despot sometimes. Oh, and I have mood swings, I learned all that from Granny by the way, but mostly I am a very sweet, gentle and adorable pussycat – and not only when I sleep.

Funny Farmer Felines: If we were to ask your mom what she loves best about you, what do you think she would say?

Binky: Everything about me, for sure!

I think this is it, Funny Farmers. Thank you for inviting me for the interview. Wait, I give you all an Extra Pawkiss for that🐾😽💗

Funny Farmer Felines: Thank you, Binky. We believe everyone will enjoy your story and hope readers will take a moment to tell you how much they enjoyed getting to know you better, and then they can stop by Angels Whisper to get to know you even better.

✨✨✨

I hope you liked to read my interview (again)…

I sure did…

even if you can’t see me

that doesn’t mean that I’m not here🧙‍♀️✨

Happy Birthday in Heaven Dad Pete

Hi (Furry)furriends💗

Today we’re having a special Birthday

in heaven

of a very special furriend

in Blogland…

Dad Pete

of the timmytomcat blog…

he left our planet last November

and is a big loss for us

and all who knew him

and his furry family…

We were asked by our Tabby-furriends

that got a message of the Wonderpurrs

to choose our favourite bloggie

to honour him today…

I had a real good laugh

when I saw my furry furriends try to get inside of…

where?…

click on the linky an find it all out yourself…😹

https://timmytomcat.blogspot.com/2013/04/tomcat-tuesday-strange-noises.html

Now you can stop the bloggie right here….

or share some memories with me…

It was the 25th of January 2013

when we met Dad Pete and the kitties

for the first time on our bloggie…

and ever since he and Timmy

left wonderful replies on our bloggie…

that Granny and I all read again

yesterday…

and we smiled and laughed

and wiped a tear…

because he and Timmy who left the planet

just a few month before him

weren’t here anymore…😿

He told us so many things about himself…

and maybe it’s not the purrpose

for this special bloggie…

but I just want share some replies

that he left on my bloggie

because they touched our hearts deeply…

Here’s one that let our ego grow😸:

You are our favorite little gal Binky. Granny you are right up there too.

And here’s one to expurress his feelings about our mewsic

when our Ludwig von Birdhoven sang his highest song

(my blogpost of 2019/04/29):

You really made our Dad happy with your music today as they were all great, but, he is partial to Mozart.

He would listen to classical all day when he was still working.

He said it was to drown out the voices in his head. (He worked in medicine with a strong behavioral health bit)

Purrs to you, Granny and Birdhoven too.

And this reply was on our bloggie when we shared an award

when I asked if they believed in Angels…

(blogpost of 2016/07/30)

Here was his answer by Timmy:

“4. Our Family Angels come to visit in our dreams.

Dad went to the special place that is all white and wonderful when he had his accident.

After that he says he has feelings of being close to the spirits but has a hard time explaining it.”

…and we believe

that’s the place right there

were they are now…

it’s also the place

were we all meet each other again

one day…

♾…as we are all one…♾

🎈Happy Birthday in heaven Dad Pete🎉

I would have offered you some nip

but as you have effurrything in heaven

I’ll play some mewsic

especially for you…

and yes we heard you…

don’t you worry

no Depeche Mode…

sorry fans but he really didn’t like them🤷‍♀️

Goody Two Shoes

Hi (Furry)furriends💗

I’m still hanging out with my Grandpaw…

while I’m telling you what I’m

T H A N K F U L

for today…

…besides of my Granny and Grandpaw of course…

our

10th Blogiversary

Can you believe that?

I hardly can…

When Granny and I decided

to write down my stories

I was almost nine years old

and already lived for three years

with my Grandpawrents…

and although I’m 10 years older now

I hardly changed

as I may say so myself…

Anyways…

I’m happy that we made it

until here…

and we’re happy that we met so many furriends

along the way…

and all that we’ve shared

😸with a smile and a tear…😿

…the (furry)furriends that we’ve seen come

and the ones that we’ve have seen go…

it wasn’t easy sometimes

but it sure was an excited walk

and I still can walk on…

I only need some Goody Two Shoes…

can I borrow yours, Granny?

“Now they stand

right in the corner

worn out

without any doubt

they have walked miles

on the Irish isles

in the middle of Dublin…

together with James Joyce…

cause boots are made for walking

and talking

without any choice

and at home

they have danced

and made sh*t mewsic

for romance

Yes

Granny was lucky

with these Victorian boots

because there were no buttons

on the side roots

but only purress stuoods

Now they’re back were they belong

under the dress

of my former chaperone.”

So I’m

T H A N K F U L

for all my furriends

who have taken this journey with me

…so far…

and we’re not ready to end it

but we have another crazy week

with the twofeet coming so

we won’t be online again…

So for now…

hope to see you soon😸

A Happy Ride on the Slide

Hi (Furry)furriends💗

Want to come over and play with me

in my bush…

…that Granny had to cut in half because of the plagues…

but we still can play hide and seek…

or in this case

…see and hide…MOL😸

So are you coming?

I think it’s going to be fun

and besides

life’s so much better with furriends…

That brings me to this week’s Mewsic Theme

chosen by our co-hostess of this month

Alana of Ramblin’with AM

…songs about furriendship/furriends…

well… I’m waiting….

Waiting for a friend – Roger Daltrey (1980)

Waiting for a friend – Rolling Stones

We know furriends

that stand together…

and those who are nearby…

and the ones that follow each other

as best furriends…

You’re my best friend – Queen (1976)

some have lost their furriends…

Seasons in the Sun – Terry Jacks (1974)

and there are furriendships

blowing in the wind…

My friend the wind – Demis Roussos (1973)

and behind the stars…

Old and wise – Alan Parsons Project (1982)

and that little Redstarts

asking for being furriends with me…

and he’s giving it to Granny…

while he’s hanging in there…

One Friend – Dan Seals (1997)

now look them right in front of me…

look how much fun they have

in the water…

and ashore…

they stick together till the end…

You’re a friend of mine – Clarence Clemons and Jackson Brown (1985)

Furriends can also be family…

like these purroud owners of a new home…

they settled in immediately after hanging it on the wall…

like they were waiting for it…

which we sure know they did 😉

and me and my Grandpaw…

he sure is one of my best furriends…

and one thing I’m sure of

furriends will be furriends

for as long as they meant to stay together…

Friends will be friends – Queen (1986)

and you know what more…

you’re all my furriends too…

…yes YOU all…

you who reads this and follows us

for such a long time…

we are so

T H A N K F U L

💐for that💐

and now I hope you all to see

so you can play with me…

“YO!

Up and down

there we go

with the flow

and three in a row

sliding from the slide

like a moutain ride

from a height so high

that it feels like you almost could fly

and once you are down

on the ground

you have to repeat it again

with all your furriends

because it can become an addiction

without any friction

every now and then.”

Ps if you like to slide with me

Here’s

one of my first posties

where I took that ride

on the slide….

Putting everything together in one postie

Hi (Furry)furriends💗

I was a winner

at 15andmeowing a few weeks ago…

so miss Ellen and the kitties sent me

something to stick my nose in…a cuddly toy…

that I use as a pillow ever since…

and with it

I’m feeling in cloud nine…

so it goes wherever I take it…

and I even can make a Selfie with it…

AND

my artwork that I magically switched into a puzzle…

How Cool is that?…

I used the Sadness filter for this on LunaPic

because that is how we feel

after hearing that our sweet furriend KaTwo of 15andmeowing

has left for FurryLand yesterday…

then we added a snow border

for the cold that entered our country…

and a Royal border on pixl.r

because no matter what

you always have to be Loyal to the Royal within…

you see I was just playing around with the editors…

Talking about playing…

We have to make a little mewsic today as well…

with my furriends over at

and today’s theme

“Songs about Toys”…

Well…what a coincidence…😸

Puppets here we come…

I’m your Puppet…

Puppet on a string…

Master of Puppets…

Chasing Cars…

* to Granny* not the singer Granny!….

Castle on the Hill…

see…

there’s still enough toys in the attic…

that we can make a Ball out of it…

“There’s nothing so kingly as kindness,

and nothing so Royal as truth.”

-Alice Cary

🐾😽💞

P.S. We try to hop along, but Granny was food poisoned by a ready-made pumpkin soup last week and is recovering slowly from it. She says this was the last time that she ever eats it again. Better make furresh soup to be sure that it doesn’t hit you🙀

Extra Pawkiss for now…
