Crawling little workers

sunpost.fixHi (furry)friends,

This week has been a very busy week

for us.

First we had unwanted introders

around the house

AND

in the house…

in MY FOOD actually…only!

They’re little hard workers

and they were able to fly…

It was terrible,

but Granny asked them to leave

and stay out of the house…

and guess what,

they left….

sunpostfix1

well…just for a few days,

then they came back…

so Granny gave them coffee at first,

but they kind of liked it,

because they kept on working

anyway…

*that must have been the caffeine, Granny*

A few days later she

put a lot of garlic in the holes

and all around the outside of the house…

*….imagine how that smells,

there won’t be coming any vamps

nearby our house anymore,

I guess no-one ever will be…..

believe me…*

Then the ants finally

moved on doing their stuff

and stayed out of the house.

So I guess that witchcraft

stinky garlic helped after all.

sunfix4

It’s to hot here now,

so it’s better to stay in my nest …

and tell you what’s happened next.

antsfix

No, I better come down

to show you…

antfix1while I tell you…

antsfix2We also have

antfix4another population

antfix5

in our garden…

antfix7

and they live…

antfix8

right here…

antfix9

and under the boards…

antfix10

I just can’t find them…

antfix

Oh, no,

they’ve hide inside the bucket…

antfix12Here they are..

just three of them…

but there are about 7 more..

antfix11well, they make you smile, don’t they?

But Granny asked Grandpa

to bring them to the ditch

nearby our house..

and Grandpa did,

but Granny told him that they’d be back,

because they were born here…

and the next day…

antfix14

tadaaaa…the proof..

Granny said to Grandpa

that they’re allowed to stay…

they always will come back anyway,

and so we have

a nest of frogs in our garden too.

I think that’s cute,

they don’t harm you,

and you never know,

what Prince shows up.

I still have to convince Granny of it…

antfix6

Oh, and last but not least…

look who’s back…

antfix15

My hedgehog furriend

Hermeline.

Doesn’t she look gorgeous 🙂

antfix16

That’s it for now, my furriends,

It’s hot, but muggy weather,

with lots of clouds…

so tomorrow it will be

raining again.

Wishing you all

A HAPPY WEEKEND

…..

and see you soon 😉

….

– P A W K I S S E S –

….

Thanks to 123rf  for the photo of the ants.

Yuck! Ants! Mom goes all weird if she sees ants in the house. She tried all the remedies, natural ones, to get rid of corn ants but they just kept coming. Mom was a sight. Eventually she called a pest control person and she is much happier, There are no ants in the house and very few in the garden either.

Oh, CC, ants can be very stubborn and annoying. Granny told them that she would take a harder approach when they’re not leaving in a day. It was all up to them…but we were lucky, they left! Pawkisses for a Happy Sunday 🙂

Glad to hear Granny got rid of those nasty ol’ ants. And they could fly? MOUSES!

We usually have at least one froggy frew but this year, I haven’t seen any at all. Hmmm… Wonder if they’ve decided they don’t like me anymore.

Your little ones look cute. I’ll take a peek tonight and see if I can find any around here.

Oh, so many visitors! (You’d think they would call ahead for vacancies and reservations)
RIght about the frogs – you can relocate them, but turn around and there they are again. Molly keeps trying to snuggle up and kiss them – offering them a ride inside the house…inside her mouth ( very gently…she says the RC cat ordered it…but we prefer they swim in the little watering bowl outside if they are too warm…more to eat out there, too!)

Chuckles: so, your Granny puts garlic slices all over the inside of the house to get rid of the ants? interesting. i hope i don’t see any garlic in my food now. the other day, for some reason, i left a few of my dry food pellets in my bowl and the next day it was full of ants! and then i get scoldings for not eating all my food! i don’t know. they switched my dog food, must have been on sale or something, pfffft, it tastes horrible but you know my stomach needs it so i just trrrry to eat it. my taste buds revolt every time. so what does Hermeline eat? bugs or vegetation?

No, no garlic over the inside of the house, Chuckles, only the outside. It’s good for your tummy, you know, not for my tummy, because I’m a cat, but you can eat it, it helps also against fleas. Wonder why… Granny says because you’re your blood is not attractive for them anymore. Anyway…Cuckles, you better eat your whole bowl, even if the food is not as good as it was, or you ask your mom to cover it untill you eat again. At least that’s what Granny does with my food. It’s better than having to eat the ants…or the ants eat you 🙂 Hermeline eats effurrything she can find in the garden, like worms, slags, caterpillars, butterflies….and MY FOOD. She likes fruit too, but milk is not allowed. She can get very sick of milk. I wonder if she comes back with baby’s 🙂 Pawkisses for a Happy Day, my furriend 🙂

Hermeline and the frogs are cute and welcome to the garden. I am glad the garlic got rid of the nasty ants though. They fly here as well but usually only one day in the summer if it is hot and humid. Mostly we get the wingless ants in the garden and I like to watch them.

Actually we have two hedgehogs in the our garden, Pauline. Granny saved one before and he lived in the house for a few month, because he was very weak. His name is Herman and every year he comes back to mate in our garden…The first time Granny had no idea what they were doing. They were running in circles for hours and making loud sounds. I think that they think that our garden is the Garden of Eden.. We’ll ask them if they have any relatives in New Zealand, and if they have,we’ll send them over to your place. I bet they’d like your wilderness 🙂 Pawkisses for a Pawsome Sunday 🙂
