Best news of the year 2013…. in a row

Hi (Furry)friends,

Lately we’ve got some wonderful news.

It was about the straycat-problem in the Netherlands.

You see, when in Holland the population

of strays or geese ~~or other animals~~

is too big,

they like to shoot them,

in large numbers

and think the problem has been solved…

The government allowed to shoot

from 8,000 untill 13,500 straycats

every year!!

Can you believe that?

The worst of the story is,

when you’re an outside housecat,

or an in- and outcat,

or…

well, you know what I mean…

The hunters don’t think:

“Oh, that’s Little Binky from next door…”

no, they just shoot…

like a hobby…

What? Okay Granny..

no, not to long

I’ll come to the point right now.

To make a long story short…

137,123 people,

us included,

signed a petition against the killing

and WE WON..

NO KILLING MORE ALLOWED..

YES!!

We can all walk freely again…PHEW…

and the surplus of strays

get help

accordance the TrapNeuterReturn system…

….that other organizations are already use

for ages!…

And we’ve got a ‘Thank You’ letter

with a saddle cover for the bike… 🙂

Have you seen the ears..

Granny, I don’t know what people

are thinking, when they see that ears

coming from under your buttocks…MOL 😀

I don’t see my tuna…

Can I have some tuna, please,

I have a hungry belly to still…

Spiky furryfriends…MOUSES!!

Granny, did you hear that?

I have to find out what it is…

No, it’s not here, Granny…

Where did it come from?…

maybe from over there…

What’s this???

MOUSES!!..what a mess!…

Who did ruin Angel’s Place…

Granny I think I found the raskal…

It’s Herman my Spiky friend…

What? It’s not??….

Oh, I see…

This one is much smaller than Herman

and it’s a she…

This is Hermaline than…

She’s a little baby hedgehog,

who probably lost her mom,

and she isn’t able to get into wintersleep yet…

because she’s as light as a feather,

so Granny’s taking care of her now..

by giving her a roof over the head…

and lots of food…

MY FOOD!..MOUSES!!…

Granny, is there a slight possiblility,

maybe in the future,

that I DON’T have to share my food anymore?

Anyway…

we hope the little Spiky-girl will survive winter,

we do whatever we can….

and yours truly will watch over her ~~food,~~

and letting no Strangers nearby.

Well, enough about Spiky Hermaline…

Hiya (Furry)friends,

When Granny and Grandpa are away for a day

or longer…

they always bring me something

from another place,

town or land.

This time they brought me

a lot of photos from other animals…

~~…I don’t know how they could even think~~

~~that I was waiting for that…~~

and another little sculpture

that you can hang on the wall.

I have to admit that this cat is really nice made…

This cat has bue eyes,

that protect you from evil.

Turkish people call them Nazar Boncugu,

the blue eyed charm.

They put and hang this charm everywhere,

in front of the shops..

nearby a Furrball…

and on the Furrbal’s neck…

sorry, but we don’t have proof on that..

in fact the eyes are everywhere..

…and we have the Protective Powers

of the blue eyes everywhere

in our house now too…

No, it has nothing to do with Granny’s blue eyes…

nor with mine…

but Granny likes all that ~~kitsch~~ stuff,

and it wasn’t the first time they have been in Turkey,

so we have already a little collection

of eyes.

…

We also have an amulet in the car,

hanging on the mirror,

and the window was almost broken of it,

because it dangled hard against it while driving …

..talking about powers 😉 …

Now I have to thank a few friends,

because I’ve got another gift.

The moving watering-can and a lot of surprises

Hi (Furry)friends

It has been a busy week

for Granny…

and me.

Granny was ~~baby~~ cat-sitting…

while I was guarding the garden.

There were a few intruders..

the usual clan…

but not worth mentioning…

except of one intruder

the other day.

Granny just arrived from cat-sitting

and she sat down..

with me in the garden…

and while she was cuddling me,

we both heard BANG….

We both looked around,

but couldn’t find where it was coming from.

BANG..there it was again..

I went up on the window-still,

to hear if it was coming from somewhere above…

BANG…. again,

and that something now got my attention…

I saw something moving in the watering-can..

and Granny saw the can moving,

while the BANGs now followed very quickly…

in succession…

Then I heard a scream…

and I saw a run inside of the house..

That was Granny…MOL…

and then I could see in the can

why Granny went inside…

This little frog was lost

in the watering-can..

I’m not sure if I was chasing him earlier….

so that he was ending up in the can…

Anyway…

I couldn’t get him out of that can…

so I had to call for Grandpa…

and he came and set the frog free,..

far away from me…

and Granny!

We were lucky that Grandpa was home,

so he could set the frog free…

Did you know that they scream,

when they see me…

well, that’s another story…

Now let me see what’s next..

Yeah, this is nice…

The weather has cooled of

and it’s raining…

so we have to do something other,

than panting and puffing because of the heat.

I thought it was a good idea

to play Cat-opoly…

….This is the Dutch version of it,

that’s why it’s written Kat-opoly…

but it is far more fun

than Monopoly.

It’s not only funny,

but it’s educational to..

you’ll learn all different kinds

of cat breeds…

Let’s read the manual…

You have to pay for your fleas..okay…

You can fall into the water, or learn to swim

and dry up in jail…

and ..last but not least…

you can get catnip when you’re lucky…

Sounds good, huh?

There’s only one problem…

You have to play it

with Family…

and that reminds me,

that we were awarded again

for the WordPress Family Award

by our friends at Fozziemum‘s.

That means that our family is getting bigger…

and bigger…

so we all can play Cat-opoly

TOGETHER.

But first I want to thank Fozziemum and clan
