Wonderful team member readership award

This blog is nothing about lazy bones, nor baby fat, nor big bellies, but this blog is about two Awards we’ve received last month, and no, I did not swallow them, in case you think they’re in my belly.

Directly after our Addictive blog award we’re nominated again for this award by Cats&Co. Thank you, Dianda, for this Addictive habits Award. …Granny, that’s why my belly is a little furrier, I’m addictive to lazyness ever since …

Princess Zena, of The Princess tails, nominated us for the Wonderful Team Member Readership Award… wow, isn’t this a mouth full…

Zena is a lovely Tibetan terrier with very sweet  ‘button-eyes’. She just lost her pal Zac, but she fights her way trough it. You’re tough, Zena 🙂 I love her stories, she’s funny and she just was involved in a drama, which I have to catch up, because Granny is too busy with other stuff at the moment and I’m not allowed on the lap top on my own.

Next are the rules of the WTMRA:

1. The Nominee of the Wonderful Team member Readership Award shall display the logo on his/her post/page and/or sidebar

ok, ready..

2. The Nominee shall nominate 14 readers they appreciate over a period of 7 days (1 week) – this can be done at any rate during the week. It can be ALL on one day or a few on one day and a few on another day, etc.

3. The Nominee shall name his or her Wonderful Team Member Readership Award nominees on a post or on posts during the 7 day (1 week) period.

I guess that means that I have to let this post stay on my our blog for 7 days… I did mention all of them, didn’t I…

4. The Nominee shall make these rules, or amended rules keeping to the spirit of the Wonderful Team Member Readership Award, known to each reader s/he nominates.

Do your best… I guess..

5. The Nominee must finish this sentence and post: ”A Great reader is…”

“A great reader is somebody who can hear the voice of the book.”

Granny, I can’t purr anything….

..maybe when I close my eyes… 😉

Get well soon, Bobo!

(klik hier voor de Nederlandse versie)

I have a little brother and sister, I’ve never seen before, because Granny adopted me 4 years ago and they weren’t  yet born .

We made the pictures with Granny’s old cellphone because she doesn’t have a new one yet, so these photo’s are not so clear, but they’re recognizable.

This is my brother Bobo and he’s still living at my mother’s house.

Bobo loves to cuddle…

just like me.

Bobo likes to sit on the lap…

just like me.

Bobo likes lying on the edge of the couch…

I like lying in my nest on the fence.

I have a perfect balance…

..Bobo hasn’t 😦

Bobo likes to balance on the edge of the balcony, but he lost his balance and felt from the second floor down on the ground in the neighbours garden…

…and got up and walked on, as if nothing had happened. So far so good as it seems..

but my mom brought him to the vet for a check up, and then his hind-leg was getting very thick…

and he had difficulty in walking. On the way to the vet he also got an epileptic seizure,  but he was treated direcly with valium to keep the seizure under controle.

After he calmed down they made an beautiful photo X-ray…

..no, Granny, not of me..

..and on the X-ray you could see that his paw was broken on 3 places. I’m so sorry for you, Bobo 😦

Bobo had to stay one night at the vet and the next day he splinted his leg and did it in plaster cast and Bobo was allowed to go home.

Unfortunantely he has to stay in the bench during 12 – 16 weeks, because it takes a while to heal…

..and it takes a while before Granny can pet him in the usual manner..

..and that he shows Granny his favourite, manipulative “you-don’t-leave-me-now-face” to Granny. Bobo loves Granny, you know…

…just like me 🙂

Hope you’ll get well soon, dear Bobo. We love you! xoxoxo

The Addictive Blog Award

Last week Granny and I were surprised again by our French Furry Friend Texas, a cat in New York who gave us this extraordinaire prix for Addictive blog cats. We’re very happy with this award and we thank you very much, Texas, for thinking of me and my Grandma. We love your blog and your funny stories and I always want to run over to play with you. If I made you curious blog-reader-friends, just run over to Texas‘ blog and see for yourself… I’ll follow later 🙂

Little Binky

I We started blogging on September 6 2011, -that’s almost a year ago Granny- because there’s a lot of traffic in our garden, like other cats, birds, hedgehog, frogs, snails, little twofeet and lots more.

Binka

Granny thought it was nice telling stories about me and my best friend Big Binky and about the traffic and me and about some of my strange habits. In the beginning Granny began to tell a story, with only one picture of me, but that didn’t satisfied me her, so I told her to tell the story with pictures, like a picturebook, and she listened to me and my blog was born 🙂

Troela

In the beginning we only wrote in Dutch, but when some foreigners also were stopping by to see me our blog, we decited to make it easier for them not for us 😦 and now we have a two language blog.

Granny writes about other stuff too, but that’s not interesting, because there are no cats or other animals in it. She also says that my blog is her dearest and funniest outlet. Well, folks, this was my story. I have to go napping again, because this costs me a lot of energy and I have to charge myself anew….

Good night ;)

I’ll nominate the following blogs:

Bongo

Longlifcatsanddogs

Cupcake

Cats & Co

Congratulations everyone. You all have lovely blogs and Granny and I enjoy reading them every time. Some are new for us, but we’ve taken a little taste and we already like them.

Please don’t feel passed if we did not nominate your blog, it’s not because we don’t like it, but we’re out of numbers 🙂

Here are the Addictive Blog Award Rules:

1. Thank the person awarding you.
2. Share a little about why you blog and how the journey started.
3. Paste the blog award on your page.
4. Nominate 10 other bloggers you feel deserve the award and let them know you nominated them.

Have fun 🙂

The American lobster

(Klik hier voor de Nederlandse vertaling)

Grandpa came home from work yesterday and he told us, that he saw  something strange on the street, so he had to turn around his car, because otherwise someone could drive his car right over that strange  thing on the street.

He parked his car on the side of the road and as he walked towards it, he couldn’t believe what he saw…

….

http://www.sportvisserijnederland.nl

…it was an running buffet American lobster…

..just for me to play with it… or maybe

for me us to eat..yummy, yummy…

Yes, we’re gonna eat lobster tonight…

Grandpa brought me us dinner…

Grandma ask grandpa what he did with the lobster and he told her that he saved the lobster…

You see, he took him home…

While I was preparing for dinner, grandpa told us how he saved the lobster. Listen to this, this could be very interesting…

He threw a red towel over the lobster…

and the lobster approached on Grandpa directly…

Well, that doesn’t surprise me at all…

and while the lobster was holding on to the towel,

Grandpa brought him to the ditch, so that he could  go on destroying everything of our living creatures in the rivers swimming.

That means, Grandpa has set him free…

and I we don’t have lobster on the menu 😦

He had brought me to his work, then I could have shown Grandpa how to catch a lobster!

….

You can see here what the lobsters damage in our rivers

NOS Nieuws…. I’m sorry, but it’s in Dutch, I couldn’t find an English version of it.

One lovely blog award

Binky

We’ve been nominated again for an Award and we’ve choosen the one that matches most to our blog: One lovely blog Award… isn’t that lovely?

Thank you Long Life Cats and Dogs for the nomination, we’re more than happy with this award and the appreciation of our blog.

We love Long Life Cats and Dogs and all you do for animals, not to mention your funny way to tell us all about it. So if you want a laugh, a smile or thinking of adopting an animal, you have to go over to Susan’s and read all about it and have fun 🙂

The next thing is to tell seven things about myself… and my granny. That won’t be so hard, Granny, I guess…

slaapkopfix

1. I’m living with my granny for four years now, and I’m having the time of my life. I get spoiled a lot, have my own garden, my own garden- house, bed, couch, food, a grandpa and my grandma. I always sleep next to her and she wakes up a few at least 10 times a night, because she’s afraid to lay on me, but I don’t hear her, she never wakes me up and I’m really in deep slumber..

Afb363fix

2. Sleeping is my hobby. I have sleeping places everywhere and I make some my own…like grandpa’s couch and when he wants to sit with me on my couch, I must make it very clear sometimes that the couch is also mine…

3. I made myself a nest, my bird friends learned me how to build one, but unfortunately it’s only during the summertime. I don’t know why, but in wintertime my nest is gone.  Sometimes other cats want to use my nest, like Big Binky when he was still living with us, but I have to stand up for myself and chase them all away.

Afb129fix

3. I like to hide myself in places where I can see everyone, but no-one can see me. It’s possible in our house, because after I was adopted my grandparents wanted everything black and white, I have no idea why …

P1030386fix

4. I have an extraordinary balance. I can walk the whole fence, through my nest, and back without falling down. I do that to make Granny happy and proud… *whispers: and sometimes because I see a little birdie.. but just to play…*

P1030398fix

5. I’m very picky about my food. I eat always the same things, because I don’t like other. Granny has tried different food, but I reject everything that’s different, I even have to think about a steak… but not for long…

P1030394fix

6. I have my own garden house, which I have to share with my little twofeet and some curious cats, who come to visit me once in a while, when I’m not home.

typen

7. I like blogging, like my Granny. We’re always together while I’m she is typing, mostly I’m laying on her lab, or on next to the computer, or I just walk a little around the computer and up and down, but that’s only when I need to eat, and sometimes I lay down in front of the laptop for a massage and she’ll purrrrrr me the way to heaven.

Well, these are the seven things about myself. Now we pass our Lovely Blog Award to the blogs we like to read and we hope you’ll pick up the award when you don’t have it yet. Here we go:

Zac, the all black

Russel Ray Photo’s

Rumpydog

Congratulations everyone! Of course we like more blogs to read, and they’re all great, otherwise we wouldn’t read them I guess,  but this time we’ve chosen for the blogs which have animals in it. So don’t feel passed if we didn’t mentioned your blog this time.

I’m not used to all this work… it’s time to take a nap now.

Pawkisses for a Goodnight, folks 😉
