One lovely blog award

Binky

We’ve been nominated again for an Award and we’ve choosen the one that matches most to our blog: One lovely blog Award… isn’t that lovely?

Thank you Long Life Cats and Dogs for the nomination, we’re more than happy with this award and the appreciation of our blog.

We love Long Life Cats and Dogs and all you do for animals, not to mention your funny way to tell us all about it. So if you want a laugh, a smile or thinking of adopting an animal, you have to go over to Susan’s and read all about it and have fun 🙂

The next thing is to tell seven things about myself… and my granny. That won’t be so hard, Granny, I guess…

slaapkopfix

1. I’m living with my granny for four years now, and I’m having the time of my life. I get spoiled a lot, have my own garden, my own garden- house, bed, couch, food, a grandpa and my grandma. I always sleep next to her and she wakes up a few at least 10 times a night, because she’s afraid to lay on me, but I don’t hear her, she never wakes me up and I’m really in deep slumber..

Afb363fix

2. Sleeping is my hobby. I have sleeping places everywhere and I make some my own…like grandpa’s couch and when he wants to sit with me on my couch, I must make it very clear sometimes that the couch is also mine…

3. I made myself a nest, my bird friends learned me how to build one, but unfortunately it’s only during the summertime. I don’t know why, but in wintertime my nest is gone.  Sometimes other cats want to use my nest, like Big Binky when he was still living with us, but I have to stand up for myself and chase them all away.

Afb129fix

3. I like to hide myself in places where I can see everyone, but no-one can see me. It’s possible in our house, because after I was adopted my grandparents wanted everything black and white, I have no idea why …

P1030386fix

4. I have an extraordinary balance. I can walk the whole fence, through my nest, and back without falling down. I do that to make Granny happy and proud… *whispers: and sometimes because I see a little birdie.. but just to play…*

P1030398fix

5. I’m very picky about my food. I eat always the same things, because I don’t like other. Granny has tried different food, but I reject everything that’s different, I even have to think about a steak… but not for long…

P1030394fix

6. I have my own garden house, which I have to share with my little twofeet and some curious cats, who come to visit me once in a while, when I’m not home.

typen

7. I like blogging, like my Granny. We’re always together while I’m she is typing, mostly I’m laying on her lab, or on next to the computer, or I just walk a little around the computer and up and down, but that’s only when I need to eat, and sometimes I lay down in front of the laptop for a massage and she’ll purrrrrr me the way to heaven.

Well, these are the seven things about myself. Now we pass our Lovely Blog Award to the blogs we like to read and we hope you’ll pick up the award when you don’t have it yet. Here we go:

After Big Binky has been stolen gone, nothing is the same anymore. At first I was a kind of happy, because I get full attention of my granny and grandpa,

but now, after 3 weeks, I just sit here and wait…

Binky raamhangerfix

and looking for Big Binky some friends…

Binky hoog op de torenfix

but there’s no-one out there to play, or annoying, or hissing at…

P1030428fix

I made myself some new friends…

like Fred, the sea-gull..

waiting for me to fly play with him…

and Baby Magpie wants me to fly play the higher you get.. well, in his case it would be not higher than this shed..

or with the two newborns.. *whispers: in fact the only two that Big Binky… …….never mind*

and their mom…

P1030429fix

but even of my new friends, I’m getting the feeling there’s something missing… even granny feels it 😦

Granny says I’m feeling a little sad, because Big Binky isn’t around anymore, but  I only have to close my eyes and sending him all my love and I’ll be with him, at least for a moment… and after I’ll probable feel much better.

P1030411fix

Ok, granny, I’ll give it a try. I’m closing my eyes now….purrrpurrr

I already feel a little better…purrrrpurrr….gran–n–y 🙂

I want to thank all of our blog friends, and passers-by, for the support and sympathize, when they took our best friend Big Binky away from us 3 weeks ago. We still miss him every day and we’re still hoping for a miracle, but the most important thing is that he’s healthy and happy. God bless you my sweet adorable friend Big Binky.

They took him back

(klik hier voor de Nederlandse versie)

they took him backfix

Sunday 1 july was my 9th birthday,  my granny doesn’t know exactly when I was born, after all I’m a foundling, but she gave me this date because her Dog, who’s in heaven now, was born on this day, so it’s a remembering day as well and instead of a big party, we had a terrible day, that turned out to remember something more on this special day.

they took him backfix

Big Binky and grandma were drinking a cup of coffee and after that, he wanted to go outside to stretch some muscles…

they took him backfix1

and that’s the last thing we saw of him 😦

Not long after he left there was a thunderstorm going around and granny was calling for him, but he didn’t came. We were all very worried, especially when he also didn’t came home for dinner.

Granny and grandpa were searching for some time in the late evening, but they couldn’t find him.

Herman's honkfix

The next day I helped them searching: I looked in Herman’s house…

I followed Big Binky’s trails…

and smelled his odour..

followed his trace..

I went out of the garden…

onder de poortfix

.. but also didn’t find him… In the meantime granny wasn’t the only one who was worried and scared, because she was playing the most terrible scenario’s of what could have happen in her head…

Binky zo danfix

She was just busy to fill in a form for missing animals, when grandpa  came home and told us that we don’t have to worry anymore, because  the neighbours, Binky’s official owners, took Big Binky with them into their new house, an apartment building, without telling me and my grandparents. They also didn’t give granny the opportunity to say goodbye to Big Binky properly. Can you imagine how that feels?

Grote Binky slaapt lieffix

We knew they were busy to move, but we never believed that they would take Big Binky with them, after neglecting him for such a long time.

P1030144fix

After almost 3,5 years, after his wandering adventure, they finally remembered they also have another cat named Binky and stolen took him away, just like that, without having the guts to letting us know what they’re up to.

Afb348fix

Big Binky thought he was home with us, he never got to their house anymore after he settled himself with my granny. I admit that I was very jalous of him, because it’s MY granny and I had to share her with him, but now I see the grieve in her face, it’s affecting me also. To be honest, in my heart I already got used to him and I miss him already, but this I can only say afterwoods. I had no idea of this feeling before 😦

Afb354fix

My grandparents took care of him for all these years, nurtured him when he was ill,  feeding him, giving him medicines when it was necessary,  defleading him and took daily all the ticks of him, and the most important thing in live, they gave him loves. In fact they gave him everything he needs and that people just snatched him away from our lives…

Afb409fix

…but what can we do, after all it was their cat! We definitely learnt a big lesson out of this: to communicate is very important though you can’t get disappointed.

Grote Biny slaapt in mandfix

OK, we’ve communicated with Big Binky and he’d with us, but we forget to tell the neighbours that Big Binky didn’t want to come home anymore, so he’d better stay with us.

P1030150fix

Granny is worried that Big Binky will miss his environment, his home and us. He can’t get anywhere now he’s living on a flat, from an outdoor cat into an indoor cat, that must be heavy, Big Binky, but we’ll hope and pray all the best for you.

P1030377fix

Grandpa’s wondering if they’re operating in the interest of the cat or on selfish reasons, because Big Binky is al real outdoor cat.. the real hunter, you know.

P1030095fix

I have to cheer up granny now… but before that I have to do just one more thing…

Wijst met vingerfix

..this is for that selfish people, I’m really catlicious now!

Sunshine award

Look what we’ve got for our blog, a Sunshine Award 😀

We are so proud and happy to received this special award and granny was so happy that she made a leap for joy  🙂

We’re nominated bij Cats&Co, an amazing blog where you can learn everything you have to know about… about what, granny?… oh, I see, yes, about Cats. Dianda, the author, has two cats of her own, that must  be the reason she named her blog Cats&Dianda = Co, don’t you think so? 😉

Thank you so much, Dianda, for this Sunny award. It will get a place of honour on our blog, that’s for sure!

We’ll fill in the questions together, like we always do. Here we go Binky’s 🙂

Sleeping in the middle of the bed and getting grumpy if I have to move. So sleeping the bed is my passion, besides my granny 🙂

Definitely Grandma… *whispers* and hunting after the succulent young chickens, birdies, mice a.s.o. ;)’

The two overhead me, other cats and animals and of course my cowboy 😉

5. Favorite pattern:

Get up in the morning, together with Granny and the other fourfeet who doesn’t have a name, and get outside just to sit there and look and then go back into the house to eat and went outside again to inspect my surroundings for a few hours. After that I get home to take a long nap.

Rise and shine with Granny and the Bitchy Little Binky, sing  the highest tone deep out of my throat and don’t stop untill she gives me my food. After that I wash myself properly and *whispers: going to hunt on something* take a walk. I’ll be back in the afternoon and install myself on grandpa’s couch if I don’t get any attention on my solo singing to get some food again, besides the dry food.

What pattern? I have to take care of The Binky’s and my cowboy in the morning, keep myself in shape, run the house, do the shopping, learn my lessons, update my English, cook the evening meal, wash the dishes, work on my blogs, answer my blogfriends, twirl with the cats and trying to keep my eyes open and not falling asleep on my notebook.

6. Favorite day of the week:

I passed the pencil towards…

**it’s my turn to introduce myself. Please Angel’s mother, sit down,

**grab your pen,

**and write down my story.

I can’t wait to introduce myself.

I need a photo of myself, just wait a minute I’m busy searching…

no, not this one, and not that picture… yes, got it:

**here we go.

Hello, everybody,

my name is Binky, Big Binky…

o, it’s not me?

Well, I thought it was me,

what a bear resemblance to that Pussycat…

**Ok, this is the real me, Big Binky.

About 7 years ago I got friends with Angel,

he lived next door and in fact he was my former neighbour-cat.

Because we were so close, I invited myself to eat and drink,

later I stayed for a nap, and another nap,

a sleep over,

and after a while I packed up my stuff

and decided to stay at Angel’s place forever.

**We were inseperable,

best friends forever,

nothing could ever kept us apart…

that’s what I thought.

**After a few years

Her Royal Highness Princess Binka

came to break the homely peace.

I’m everybody’s friend,

therefore also Binky’s friend,

but Angel didn’t liked her at all.

Angel’s mum told me

that Angel was a little jealous

and was defending his place.

I stood up for Binky when Angel wanted to catch her,

that’s how we also became friends…

after Angel died

our friendship cooled down.

**When Angel passed away,

I was very confused and left my people

to find Angel.

Angel’s mum didn’t understand why I went away

and she was very worried about me,

but I had to go.

I missed Angel very much

and had to find him,

not only for myself,

but also for his mum,

but I never found him again.

After about one year I went home,

tired of searching,

wet, very dirty, sick, very skinny and a smell like garbage.

Imagine how happy I was to see Angel’s mum,

and how happy she was.

My people refurbished me,

gave me lots of love and attention

and Little Binky had again a rival in trade.

**I am a hunter.

I can sit hours nearby the ditch

waiting to catch something.

Mostly I catch a little mouse,

because I won’t jump into the ditch again

to catch something with feathers,

I get to wet, dirty and smelly after all.

Disgusting!

**I share my mouse with my my people,

after all they share also everything with me,

but I don’t bring the mouse into our house,

but let her see I’ve caught something

and then she takes a look with me and sees…

nothing!

And were is Little Binky at that moment?

Very strange!

**I like to play with everything that moves

and I love Angel’s mums ponytail to play with,

then I’m all into the game

and forget that she’s not a prey.

Sorry, Angel’s mum

**my biggest hobby is… eating.

I really eat everything eatable

and learned while I was wandering to appreciate all the food

you can get

and I enjoy the moments when we’re sitting at the table…

**and I love it so much,

that I always empty my plate.

**well, this was my dessert and I don’t know why,

but I feel like a king on its throne –

I guess I have Little Prinses Binky’s blood? –

Now it’s time for a nap. See ya next time, folks 🙂
